Question RE: US players playing a foreign account.

Say a friend from another country has an account at an online casino. If they were to give you their login information, would you be able to access their account from your US-based IP address? Of course, all monetary transactions (deposit/withdrawal) would be completely done in the country that the account is based in, but could a US player play games using a foreign players account in a casino that doesn't allow US players?

What is the reason behind them not allowing US players to play? US law? Foreign country law? Or just their own preference that US players don't play.

If it's US law it's not worth the risk. If it's foreign law you could probably get around the IP block by using a proxy; the US won't extradite you to another country for breaking a foreign law about online casinos. And if it's just that the casino doesn't want US players to play, then again using a proxy to mask your IP address will be the thing to do.

Well, that's a good question. Could I just use a friend's physical address if I wanted to take advantage of some bonuses on online casinos that don't accept US players? I'm not sure of the motive, but I imagine it's just a preference of the casino, since I can access many other online casinos from the US. I know some people here must have accounts on non-US player casinos...

Yes, this is possible. But quite a hassle if you think about it. What if your friend decides hes just going to keep the money? You have no recourse, unless you want to go to court in a foreign country and explain what sounds like fraud over a few thousand dollars.

But, if you can find someone you trust, why not?

Excellent info, thanks guys! I suppose the question now is: what service do you use to transfer funds in and out of said casinos, since most (eg. Neteller) don't accept US players?

It discusses everything from what casinos are good , what are the methods available to deposit your money , how to open an account in europe and transfer money back and forth to your US based bank account etc etc.
