Ok, not too bad.
I played almost 4 shoes at MS and broke even (well I made like $50).
Maybe I was being paranoid, but I thought I was bringing attention to myself.
Spread was $25-$125 and I only played one spot.
I left in fear of being backed off.
At Fox, I played at MGM and made almost $600 in 3 hours.
Same spread and I don't think anyone knew I was there...
I walked around Foxwoods looking for a place to play but everywhere was jammed with people, MGM was busy but not to bad.

Just Enough to Generate Heat?

Did they call checks play at $100+?

If so how often did you make those bets?

You may be betting just enough to generate some heat.

Even if they don't call it out, $100+ can be a number the pit notices.

If you don't make those bets often and if you are pressing your bank then keep those bets under $100 unless you really want to break through the $100 barrier in style and get some legitimate EV for the heat generated.

I don't know, avenger. If he was playing a $25 tables, (which it looks like he was with a $25-$125 spread) I think you pretty much have to break the $100 barrier. A spread of $25-$75 or even $25 to $90 is barely going to make those conneticut games a winning game.

I will guaran-damn-tee you that nobody at Mohegan gave a flying crap about your $25-$125 spread. Whatever you though was "heat", wasn't. Furthermore, unless you were wonging aggressively, you were probably playing a close to breakeven game.

Crowded conditions are the norm in CT. Saturday mid-afternoon to late evening is really the best time to play. All the tables are open from the daytime crowd, but everyone is eating/resting/whatever before the evening gambling gets into full swing. Most other times their "manage to full" policy will eat your soul.

I did not notice the dealer stating "checks play" at Mohegan or MGM.
I hit a TC of +3 at MS on one of the shoes, hence the 5 unit betting.
At MGM, I suffered through alot of mediocre and negative counts.
Throughout the 3 hrs I played at MGM, I only had the pleasure of experiencing a decent count on 2 maybe 3 shoes and the TC didn't go above 2.5-3. I maybe was pushing my luck with 5 unit bets on a TC of 2.5-3, and I think after all the horrible shoes, getting a decent shoe was a sign of God at the time.
I'm still learning, I don't have alot of actual casino experience.
