Shuffle question

I'd like some opinions on this shuffle procedure over another. The dealer didn't riffle shuffle at all which was very unusual to see. The spilt the decks but only strip the decks together with no riffles. I felt and it seemed that the deck compostion was in reality left intact except for the mix between decks. I may be going out on a limb asking publicly but curiosity is getting the better of me.

This makes no sense at all. Are you saying EVERY dealer in the place does this? Or was it maybe one dealer who forgot to complete his shuffle? If this actually IS the house procedure, then they might as well put the cards into the shoe BACKWARDS, so that the players can always see the next card coming.

The casino might be too cheap to replace cards regularly or are possibly irrationally afraid of warp play. Either way, it's an unbelievable shuffling procedure!

No, it wasn't every dealer I didn't stay long enough to track the others. The dealer was an older lady and was just lazy or had bad fingers unable to riffle. She had been there for quite a few years so they didn't mess with her almost like she was part floor. The question was no riffles just stripping piles together. Is a stripping the same as riffles because I don't think so and it could prove to be good? or bad?

Stripping is definitely NOT the same as riffling, and you should be easily able to follow the "shuffle" if you spend any length of time practicing. Good luck, and don't give that old lady too much of a hard time!
