Sim Request

Can somebody please tell me what spread I'd need to beat the following game?

Always playing 2 hands, 6D, S17, DS, RSA, 75% pen.

Best regards and good cards.

For play all the minmum spread to beat the game is about 4x. If you play nothing below TC-1 a 2x spread will beat it but neither of these spreads gets much money compared to a higher spread.

What's the minimum bet, and how much were you planning on making an hour?

Without sim: Min: 2x1u - 2x12u (I would use 2x20u) zg

these might "beat the game", but your "long run" will be absolutely huge, such that youll likely never see the true fact that youre actually beating the game...

Without the sim work.. assuming your not wonging ..just from experience.. minimum 1 - 8 units, but I would do 1-12 units.. much more and It seems to draw attention, if you're playing a lot in the same store. If there is no heat, go for it.

Listen to Rukus and AutoM, they're on the money.

This won't directly answer your question as for the min to bet to beat the game, but it will give some guidance.

If you want a very general number, if you play a flawless level 2 strategy (RPC/ Zen), play all game (no wonging) ,
a 1-12 spread x 2 hands will get you 4x-5x your min bet/ hr win rate.

So for example if you play $5 min bet x 2 hands your win rate/hr is approx. $20-$25/hr (31 SCORE - 32,150 N0)

Find a LS game on your 75%pen and the win rate goes to 5x-6x your min bet. (49 SCORE - 20,076 N0)

Find a 5/6 83% pen game with your rules and the same applies. (52 SCORE - 19,056 N0)

A 5/6 game with DAS & LS your win rate/hr will get to 6x-7x your min bet. (78 SCORE - 12,756 N0)

BJC

Note: these only approximate numbers but within reason using counting only and an optimum betting strategy

See how quickly the "long run" becomes shorter as you play better games.

Unit sizes of $10 on Red and $25 on Green: was hoping for just over 2 units per hour EV with minimum bets of two $10 hands on Red tables and two $25 hands on Green tables. Play all but Wonging out at TC -1.

Thanks to all,

FD

You are correct. I didn't mean its a good game just the minimum spread to beat it by the math.

What would that 1-12 spread translate to on a game where my lowest bet is two hands of one unit each? (Is the answer two hands of nine units each; or 75% of the max bet for one hand?)

Thanks everyone,

Bjcount:

I saw your post and thank you for your help.

As a follow up, I was just wondering what the spread equivalent is of a one-hand game spread 1-12 for a two-hand game that never goes below two hands of one unit?

I'm not exactly sure what your asking but let me punt here.

Are you asking what the spread would be for the same win rate/hr if you played only 1 hand instead of 2 hands at 1-12?

It works out to be approx. 1-24.

But still keep in mind the important factors which you haven't answered yet:
Your BR
Your acceptable RoR
Your Max bet

ok, we need to clear up something that ive now seen multiple times on this board (not just by you). when counters say "PLAY-ALL", they mean what they say - they play every...single...hand. no matter what. no wonging in, no wonging out. there is no such thing as "play all but wonging out at TC -1" as that concept makes no sense whatsoever. how can you play all hands but not play hands less than -1? it doesnt make logical or grammatical sense :whip:
i think what you mean to say is you play from the top of the shoe but wong out at -1. theres no shorthand way to say this other than to call it "white rabitting", a term Don S. invented (as far as i know), and which is by no means universal (other than to those who have read BJAIII).

sorry for the rant, i needed to nip that one in the butt...

ohbehave, i didnt at all mean to imply that that's what you meant, i too was just pointing something out

also, Norm (QFIT) has gone great lengths to essentially provide canned sims available online. if you havent checked out these FREE tools, do it NOW as they can easily answer your many of your questions.

you would be interested in playing with the CVCX Online tool

(now that i think about it, when asking for a sim, you forgot one of the most important things - your count system!)

Sorry, now I'm with you:

50K BR
5% RoR
No max bet in mind (to be determined by the above I'd imagine--but split across two hands with a minimum bet of two hands of one unit).

Thanks for all the help.

Best regards and good cards,

FD

I ran a short 100million hand sim to determine opt betting for you based on your OP. I used RPC as the strategy and for those using Zen I threw one in for you too (Zen RA indices).
4.5/6d, S17, DAS, NLS, RS4, RSA1, play all, 2 hands in all counts
(.7 kelly is 3.2% RoR, .8 is 7.6% in RPC)
Here are your results.

Note: Just noticed there set at 1-24 spread will have to fix that
