Surrender?

Where I play, we have only one casino that is anywhere close by that offers Late Surrender (and it's not worth the extra 60 miles to visit!) If you are heads up with the dealer and you surrender, is it normal for the dealer to flip his hole card after the surrender? Just wondering because on the "game" here on BJINFO, a late surrender will keep the hole card hidden and it could be good to know if you are counting.

Yes, the dealer normally exposes the hole card after you surrender. And, yes, the Strategy Trainer should be changed as well. :D

You don't lose anything by not seeing the hole-card on a surrender... and the dealer may show you anyway if you tell her you like to see it. zg

Well, the places I play in Vegas do not offer surrender, nor do the ones in Kansas City. The only place I've played that did offer it was in St Joe, Missouri (a Terrible's Casino Boat). It's not a big deal. Just curious.

Well of course you lose something. Penetration is decreased by one card.

Let's do be correct! Besides, I always ask some dealers to show me... Show me ANYTHING!

But in theory, I understand....that card is treated as if it was behind the cut card.
