Thanks to everyone for sharing their experience on this forum. It has been and continues to be invaluable.
I finally broke through and have been successful in counting SD and DD. Still working on multideck shoe, but I'll get there eventually.
Ended up Monday at a casino without really planning on it in advance and they've changed up the table games drastically since I was there about a year ago. NO shoe games. DD games were $25 min (and I'm not there yet in terms of confidence of bankroll). Only games at lower limits were SD, Super Fun 21 and BJ Switch.
Came back here to see if there were answers to some of the questions I had while I was playing and sure enough - someone else had the same questions and the experienced players answered them.
