They don't bar all counters who bet less than $25. Only the stupid greedy ones. It's a personal ATM for me while in Vegas and has been for a decade.

Agreed. Spend all day staring at the cards and then jump your bet from 10 bucks to 80 bucks.......not hard to figure out. If your doing that and losing, they'll let you play all day. Do that three or four times and win and they will tell you to take off.

I've seen them watch a counter dump 3 grand in the coarse of 35 minutes and only pester him for a players card. Then smile and encourage him to keep playing, his luck will turn. Also saw at the same time the place ask a low level counter to leave......he was winning his hands.

End result - Play smart and use cover.

agreed. I got some attention spreading 5-2x25. but I assume they figured it was too low of an amount to bother with. I ended up playing for 6 hours.

I don't know how you guys do it. Anybody I've ever seen win consistently there with $25 or more bets usually has a pit critter 3 feet from their face.

First thing to understand about EC is that when that happens, they are sweating their own dealers more
likely than you. Second is that Chris the casino manager and Wayne and others are really good. zg

The place is crawling with ninjas that protect the game from counters. For god's sake don't play rated here.

The thing is you don't have to spread very much to win there. It's a break-in house and the dealers make lots of mistakes, both on changing money and on tallying hand totals. A simple $5-$15 spread, with an occasional let it ride when you win a $15 bet will produce modest results. Its not for those looking for a mutton dinner. Its for those who are looking for a fleece coat.
If that makes sense to you, you will do well there.

You definitely don't want to spread 1-20 here... made that mistake...

Would somebody please provide a list of casinos with full pay BJ that you can get away with a 1-20 spread on SD or DD?

Because the counter wasn't good enough to avoid detection.
EC is a great proving ground for this. zg

When i was barred from Cortez after 4 hours of green play, the pitboss said i was the best counter he has ever seeen..and told me the cover moves he noticed and after giving up on playing dumb he told me other good casinos to count hah

Anyone else have similiar story about EC?

If you're the best counter he's ever seen, that's SAYING something. Because there's a LOT of counters at the El Cortez...

yeah welll Im sure he says this to a ton of people..and theres obviously more than 1 pitboss but just kinda curious how people got barred
