I've been playing Blackjack using the basic strategies for months and I'm starting to go deep into the counting world. First of all, I gotta say I'm from Spain and I usually go to the Casino of Barcelona. They play the European Blackjack with 6 decks.
When I read the Hi-Lo system I realized I had to know how many decks remained to be dealt to use the system properly. In the Casino I've mentioned, they play 3 hands and they re-introduce the whole discard tray back into the machine where they're shuffle. So, if there're 6 players at the table you can barely see about 1 deck dealt. The true count tends to end in low numbers.
So it seemed to me that the KO system was more appropiate for this Casino. But, is it really like that? I mean, you are to reset the count every time the cards are being shuffled. In this case every three hands you gotta start all over again. Your probability of winning highly decreases. What should I do? Is it profitable to use any of the counting system in this situation? The unbalanced are better than the balanced when the cards dealt before shuffling them are few?
I would also want to know some of the best books talking about the KO system. In the Internet I've been able to spot some of them but I do not know which of them talk in detail about the maths behind the method and the playing strategies you should follow when playing. I imagine none of them are written to be played with European Blackjack, are them?
Thank you for your time.
