trip risk of ruin

does it look as if i set up the trip risk of ruin correctly in the risk of ruin calculator for the associated simulation?
i used 660 hands in the calculator because i figured playing two hands for five hours, errh that would be circa 66 rounds per hour.....
edit: so 66x5=330 rounds.... so since two hands per round, then circa 660 hands?
errhh i'm pretty sure the win rate & std dev are correct as the calculator seems set that up automatically......

From the looks of the program, I'm guessing you have CVCX, no? I have CVData, which has screens that look similar to this. If you give me the values you want me to use I could run a double check for you. Also, you could check out Blackjack Attack by Don Schlesinger where he gives a formula to solve for Trip RoR. The equation looks very intimidating because of the Normative Distribution Function, but it is easily solved using the tables he provides on the next few pages.

It sounds as if you are asking whether or not the values that appear in the variables section correspond to the simulation you are currently running at the time with the program. With CVData, this is NOT the case. In my case, when ever I open the RoR calculator, the calculator has already inputted win rate = 2.15 and Sd = 27.79. These numbers do NOT correlate to any sim I have ever run, so they are clearly just the ones Norm programmed to pop up every time you open the RoR calculator. So, in short, I would say no; I don't think that the program is properly filling in the values for you in the RoR calculator. Besides, the win rate in your calculator is negative. This should be positive even if you're playing a mediocre strategy in a poor game. The values don't seem to correlate at all.

I don't have either program, but with a $400 trip bankroll the ROR would have to be much, much higher I would think. I mean I win a lot more than I lose and I'm mostly a red chipper, but I almost always have to cash in (and recash in) for $400 or more. I wouldn't even consider going to the casino with only $400.

That's not a $400 bankroll. It's 400 units ;)

As per the o.p. the bankroll is 400$ with a minimum bet of 4$. Playing two hands thats only thats only 50 bets per hand. Pretty much a sure loser no matter what game your playing.
