It is great without counting 8 and 9. Do you have to count 7, 8 and 9 for HILO? I don't know why I keep hearing you have to have a side count besides aces.joe- said:yes i noticed for hi opt 2 u need to have 3 sc of ace, 8, 9 is it just as effective if i only sc for aces?
If you are going to be playing exclusively 6/8 deck shoe games, what count you play is not one of the top considerations to your success. How you play is much more important.joe- said:was reading some old threads and post on the issue and i think it came down to zen vs Ho2. also looking at several charts but want some expericene feedback.
whats been best for you guys on a 6/8 deck shoes?
This is tremendous advice for the 6/8 deck shoe games!kewljason said:If you are going to be playing exclusively 6/8 deck shoe games, what count you play is not one of the top considerations to your success. How you play is much more important.
The top two important things are 1.) to get out of some of the negative counts. Whether you wong in on positive counts or wong out on negative counts, you don't want to play all the hands. Get out of at least some of the negative counts. And 2.) Make sure you have the funds to have an adequate bet spread and that you are ramping quickly enough to get those bigger bets out there early enough to make a difference.
The biggest mistake many newer and low limit players make when playing shoe games is that they play all hands and if they are underfunded they use too small of a spread which not only cuts down or eliminates winrate, but actually increases RoR. Also some that do use an adequate spread often don't get their big bets out in time. In shoe games, you need to get your top wager out by TC +3 to +4 at worse. If you wait any longer, the frequency of the counts is just too small to make much of a difference.
You are funny!blackjack avenger said:Probably the count you use if a standard one and if experienced with it.
