If I get a sim I will get the best one I suppose it is the verite model that costs $165. CX data or something like that.
I am hoping the sim will do things like tell me when I should have split or doubled to increase my EV. Tell me if I make a bad index play and if so how far off I was.
I am thinking I can just play me regular game as if I was on the table and have it fine tune my actions.
I try to ask good questions here that are meaningful to my game and appreciate all your help very much.
Well, I'd say a very meaningful question lol. As I may have said or meant to say I don't have QFIT's sim software. CVCX and CVDATA. I do have CVBJ though in a version so old it should be worth more than i paid by now as a collector's item just based on its age lol.
I used CVBJ to measure the skill of my counting or Basic Strategy or use of index plays etc. It's what can drill you or give a pop-up window when you haven't made the right play for what you told it your game was.
But it won't generate a sim.
Conversely, but I don't know for sure, CVCX and CVDATA generate sims and only give you a ruler by which to measure your results by. Maybe CVCX doesn't actually generate sims but just calls them from a "library" of sims already ran. Except the "library" of sims is very big and covers an awful lot.
Neither will ever correct an indiv hand of BJ played as far as I know.
But CVCX maybe not stuff like varying play for camo or always betting 3 units off the top of a shoe etc. It may not be a true simulator?
Both should maybe give a pretty good idea of how much to bet to keep your risk where you are comfortable with it for the size of your roll and the ability for you to know your EV and variance for the game(s) you have chosen to play.
Really no idea though since I don't have either - others here , or QFIT's website, can explain the differences better than I can.
So, I guess, in a way, the ideal might be CVBJ and either CVCX or CVDATA so you can both practice and know what to expect from your practice.
Didn't know CVCX costs $165 these days lol - must have been living back in the 90's or something as I would have guessed $100 or so. That's OK I still think I should be able to get a hamburger for $3 lol.
But, you know, if you really don't play that much, maybe count some when you do but not always, maybe make a few index plays once in a while but not always, or make a bigger bet once in a while when the count you have says to, basically seldom pretty much for fun, I wouldn't worry about it that much.
