A -.40 game is certainly not bad.

Is this H17 DAS DD? If so, then if you can get 65% or better than it is definitely worth it.

I think S17 DAS 6D would be in that same range of HE.

The rules and number of decks are already incorporated into the house edge number that is being provided. To ask what the specifics are isn't really that relevant and kind of redundant. If you know the house edge the next important factor is penetration. (or it actually may be the other way around).
 
Exactly it is DD and 6d about the same. 6d S17 DD H17.

Pen is unknown but I would count on not much over 50 for the DD and 70-75% for the 6D based on what I know about the casino chain..

Call the casino,ask to speak to the BJ pit and ask them about the penetration. Worst thing they'll do is not answer. Many times, they will answer your questions for you.
