Why is it that ....

.. when I played a charity game with crappy rules (dealer wins ties, no DAS, double only 10,11), I wind up ahead 10 units .. and that's flat betting. I can't think of when I ever wound up 10 units ahead in a real game.

Have to admit, though, there were no really bad ploppys in the game.. a few who didn't always hit stiffs, but not bad. Nobody even complained when I split 9's vs 8 4X and won all hands! Come to think of it that one hand was 4 of 10 of the units I was ahead.

Yea .. it's a rhetorical question, I know it's variance. I'm just bitching.

You're not supposed to hit all of your stiffs in a dealer wins ties game. You're also not supposed to play dealer wins ties games...

Yea, I know it's a lousy game .. but a good cause and a good time for a cheap bet ...why not? Good practice.

There was ONE good rule .. BJ pays 2 to one (not 2 for 1)

As far as strategy .. where do i find one for "dealer wins ties"?

Well. if ur flat-betting BS, it seems a little unlikely u've never finished 10 units ahead.

Depending on how long u played, how often, etc.

Seriously, have u ever flat-bet 100-300 hands in a row?
