Win rate question

For one of my used spreads, my win rate is 1.78 units per 100 hands. My question is if I keep track of how many shoes I played and I play them all heads up I calculated that I should get in about 40 hands per shoe, so theoretically I would just mulltiple 40 by the # of shoes that I played to get my # if hands and keep accurate track of what I am suppose to be winning. But if I wong out at -1, then can I still count that shoe as all 40 hands being played or can I only count the hands that I literally sat down at the table to play?

It depends. In the place where I get most of my action in there are about 100 tables so when I Wong out of one I just to to another one. Thus I can assume I am constantly playing. If however you are not in that kind of place and you have to spend your Wongout periods in the bathroom or at the bar, you have to rate it differently.

At 1.78 units per 100 hands, that sounds like hands dealt, not hands played. Of course, your win rate per hand played will change significantly if you are skipping negative hands or not. 1.78 units per 100 is also what you might get in a play-all system.

You can only count the hands you played. Wonging out will raise your units per hand (EV), but decrease your hands per hour. As Monkey pointed out, if you table hop quickly, hands per hour decreases by a marginal amount and your units per hour (win rate) goes up. If you can't table hop quickly, hands per hour plummets and your win rate might go down.

Just remember that EV * hands per hour = win rate.
