Wonging and small boats

I have several small boats in my area and i find it very hard to wong, tables are crowded and tall tables.. I can cycle through the 2-3 pits but end up having to return again. Barely able to find positive shoes only to play a few hands before the shuffle. Also on these places how long is to long to linger around a table? They have tall tables which make it difficult to count from long distances. any suggestions?

There are TWO types of wonging - classic or conventional wonging means entering the game on a +count. The other type more suited for your available games is called reverse or exit wonging - leaving the shoe when it hits a certain minus count, typcally -1 or -2 (true).

One way you can create the best of both worlds is with a cell-phone (do they work at sea?) - when the count drops to your departure point, take an imaginary call but stay close and keep counting - if it rises sufficiently to warrant your return, tell the caller "gotta go!" and jump back in. zg

Wonging works best if you have a large number of tables to move to (e.g. Las Vegas Strip), and works worst when you have nowhere to go (e.g. boat).

If you can't find another table of equal quality very quickly, Wonging will raise your EV while drastically lowering your win rate. Assuming a decent bankroll, you're better off playing 200 hands/hr with a +0.5% edge than 50 hands/hr with a +1.0% edge.

It Was a Disaster

I wonged on a small boat once, the stack of chips was so big that it made the boat sink.:joker::whip:

I better not quit my day job!
