Two reasons it is best to double when index calls for it. First, when the count is high you don't want to eat cards up splitting and taking two cards. Second, when the count is high what kind of card do you expect? You expect to get a 10 so would you prefer an 18 or two 14s?

don't bother, it is a waste of time and will add almost nothing to your EV. Better off doing the other things mentioned such as upgrading with CoBJ addition to KO or moving to UBZ or Zen method. Best bang for the buck though would be to study up on other techniques. If you are dead set on...

Don't know about over $25 but definitely some places that let you play with 3+ hands.

If your only playing shoe games then don't waste your time. You'd be better off just moving to TKO if you wanted to get a little more out of it. If you play a decent amount of pitch games as well then it can become worthwhile if you are able play just as accurately. It is fairly easy with a...

I was in Vegas this past weekend and ran into one of the dumbest pits I've yet to see. I had been playing a game when an older gentleman who I had played with at another casino saw me and came up to join the table. He was a really nice guy who had loads of money. He had been playing for about...

Thanks. I'll suggest he start by looking at those.

I've been helping a friend learn how to count and he was looking for a app that he could play on his Android phone to practice whenever he had spare time. I know of some for the iphone but saw they were not available on the android. Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent app for the...

This won't really matter, at least not the way your thinking. The 7 just happened to be the number that changed from HiLo as it was the card which would most easily change and keeping the count a level 1. All the 2-7 are valued as 1 so for KO it doesn't really matter which card comes out and if...

Some may be due to the number of indices and may also be somewhat due to Dravot's book (CoBJ) not being full TKO. CoBJ is only TKO for betting purposes, to get all the advantage you'd also have to use it for playing decisions as well; however, I don't think this is the cause. You can see the...

That same point came up in the case or at least in one of the ones i've read about. I believe they basically glossed over it saying, its up to the casino to protect the HC (actually part of the rules) and train their dealers properly.

I don't think anyone really answered your question, although I think Spaw was more responding to Johnny's post. The answer is yes the advantage is VERY similar and you are completely safe using bet spreads generated for HiLo with TKO (TKO not KO, they have to be based on TC) assuming your...

PM sent.

I didn't tell her to complain to anyone but guess I should have. They have one of the little table signs that define the side bet and say you could only wager 1-25 but it was laying flat on the table and so wasn't visible. I admit complete ignorance as to how the law would work here but they...
