So your max bet is at a TC of +9? That's way to late. You should be making your max bet around +4 or so. Waiting for +9 is a waste of time. You will very rarely see a TC that high so you won't be making much money.
It depends on the rules of the game, your playing style and how much risk you're willing to take. With a $2k bankroll the rule of thumb is to have a max bet of $20. In a standard 6D game your bet spread might look like:
0 = $0
+1 = $10
+2 = $10
>+2 = $20
That would earn about $5/hour with close to a 5% chance (1-in-20) of losing it all. If you are comfortable taking on more risk then you can spread higher and enter the game a little earlier but with such a small bankroll it would be very dangerous.
You can search these forums for more information about the bet spreads people use, and there is also some advice in the Gamemaster's free counting course in the
Free Counting Resources thread.
