Don't have any pics of the money cause I don't keep it at home (oubviously) and I have a little less then that now in my bank account right now because most of it was invested... BUt here's some pictures of my ride, which isin't ''brand new'' by the way, it's a 99.

These pictures are pretty useless anyways, because the way this thread is going, I'll be awaiting some ''you took those pictures of the internet'' type of responses.
Hey genius, do yourself a favor and take those pictures off the web. Or at least the one where you can see the plate number. Even if everything you say is a load of crap, it doesn't take a hell of a lot to run your plate # and find out the ID of the owner of that car and where you live. If it is you, then you just revealed to all who the hell you are, if its not, you just revealed to all you're a liar.

Street wise

Just came back from the local casino. A women playing at the same table bought in for $22,000 all in 20's. Pit did not even bat a eyeball at her. The don't give a rats ass were your money is from.
Yeh, right InPlay. I was thinking more of a 19-y-o dude dumping wads of cash on the table, for all to see. Now this has happened before, it will happen again: a gang of low-lifes lurking around, looking for just such a signal.
They may see him alone as an easy mark. Later, the dude is followed outside, bashed and robbed. It happened in AC recently. We all gotta be street-wise these days. :cat:

Did they change the speed limits in Canada? I've done the N.F. to Ottawa trip a dozen or more times and the only way it takes 7 hours is if you stop for lunch a couple of times.

Did you make it off of selling stuff on Ebay? Or post on the Internet saying how you quintupled it in a few months playing a non-existent game?

A lot of young people come into big money in lots of different ways. So why can't this guy have $20 grand. He sounds like a very ambitious young man and described his play in a very AP type of style... one that many APs on this forum subscribe to.
He writes like a 13-year-old, both in terms of content and grammar, and most people with $20,000 don't.

I like most of the rest of you determined early on that Fifth's story seemed fishy (hence my post on first page) but you gotta admit, he has a reasonable explanation for two of your concerns. ($ sign and english grammer) Not saying it makes his story and more believable, just saying he gets a point for that one. lol

I dunno, a young kid can do pretty well hustling stuff on ebay, and save $20k. I can believe it.

20k-100k? Sure, it's possible. It's also possible to turn a $1 lottery ticket into >$100 million. Really, I've seen it happen, *every week even*!! WOW.

So he could well be telling the truth, but if so it sounds like he was just very lucky. Good for him, but no one should confuse luck for skill.

Only if you lived in France prior to 2002 and never bothered converting your francs to euros.

Not the mechanics; the sentence structure. You write in the stream-of-consciousness narrative mode which is very common to young teens who write exactly what they would say.

So I head out to edmonton ... So I start out, after 4 days of playing, maby 40 hours of play, I'm up 2000$ ... So I take a one day break, look around shop for food and stuff ... So I take a bus to calgary, rent out another motel for a week and find another little casino to play at. So in the next four days I make 6000$ ... So anyways I hit up the niagara casino the 3rd day in the falls, I'm about 1 month into my escapade now ... So anyways, I get there ... So I decide to just go and start betting 50$ min ...
So It's now june ... So the next day I decide to stop it all for the year ... So my last night at the fallsview casino and hotel resort, I see the VIP guy ... So anyways the next day I get my car ...

Dude, don't you get it man? If your story is true, and someone from Fallsview or other casinos you hit reads this, you'll never play there again...they could possibly back up the tape (if it's not too late) and circulate your name & picture throughout the area. Capiche?

Oh yea, they now also know what you drive. Might as well give the plate number while you're at it.

Instead of blasting this youngster with all the doubts, let's try to guide him away from his terrible bankroll management. If Fallsview is onto him counting they would love his action as his bet spread/bankroll is way out of whack. His opening max bet of $500 with a $20,000 BR will guarantee ruin. He needs at least $100,000 to make that sort of bet. Now with a $100,000 BR minus the car and jewellery he is betting $2000. Just by looking at the numbers and not doing calculations he is over double Kelly. The roller coaster of variance that this young gambler is experiencing is more than most card counters will ever see as they are more disciplined in their Kelly and RoR.

I try not to get involved in semantics but I found this comment mildly offensive as a french speaker. When he says he is French, I think he means he is a francophone. In French the punctuation is different. French speaking in Canada will put the $ at the end of the number and use a , instead of . in holding decimals. $20,000.00 will look like 20000,00$ to a francophone. The french speaking population in Canada has not used the French govenment's currency since 1749. But thanks for the 2002 history lesson.

I can appreciate your attempt to stay positive, MG, however this youngster didn't seem to post looking for guidance or advise. If he had, he would have found the people here to be most generous in sharing knowledge and time as I have during my short time of posting. Many will even take the time to run sims for you if you ask. Instead, Mr fifth shows up as a new poster which a fantastic story, (whether true or not it's pretty fantastic) and then when people questioned him, became somewhat combative, saying we are "jealous old folks who don't know how to make money". (or to quote him accurately "Jaleous" lol) He's not going to exactly endear himself to the community that way.

I think his story, despite my initial confusion, may at least somewhat be true.

But a lesson to this guy, listen to what people say about hiding info. I actually found out who you are already just through somem cursory internet snooping using info you gave out. You should try to get this stuff deleted.

I apologize for any offense. I assumed he meant French as in from France; having been to France both prior to and after the conversion to euros, I thought he was referring to the old French style, which is to put "F" after the number to denote French francs. There was considerable confusion in 2003 as many people still wrote the euro symbol after the number out of habit.

My main point was not the mechanics of grammar, but rather the style of writing used. I'm unwilling to take seriously claims of superhuman feat - for someone to claim they turned $20,000 into $110,000 is a respectable story, but his subsequent claim of making $15,000 by selling stuff off of Ebay is eyebrow-raising. The immediate accusation of people not believing him because they're too old and don't know how to make money is the clearest sign this isn't an entirely true story.

To put it somewhat crudely, il pète plus haut que son cul.

The inconsistencies pointed out by Sonny24 is, to me, the most glaring evidence,
that this is perhaps a neurotic teenage lurker.

I also take note that nothing he says reveals any deep knowledge of Card
Counting. Betting big money in mediocre games like Fallsview,
without a great deal of skill, does not prove that he is full of it
- but it makes me think that he is.

Of course I write without a structure, like a teen, I am still only 19...Probly won't change anyways when I get older. And I was born in Québec, I've always been to french schools, the only english I learn was english second lanquage classes in school, and I got a little better when we moved to Ottawa, because of the english population.

As for the Edmonton casinos, I went to the "edmonton casino", "river cree or creek" or something, and yellow head. I don't remember the rules for each ones but I know there was some differences in each place.

And for all of you wondering about my ebay money, just this year I made another 12 000$ US during the football season selling NFL jerseys. They sell like hot pies. Very lucrative product.
