"Hunch" was created for the purpose of tracking the results of my play for 2011.

I am a part-time player due to a full time, somewhat seasonal job. I will be using a modified form of Zen. The only modification is that I have fudged some index numbers to allow easy memoriation.

I will be using Qfit software to evaluate the games I play. I will report the actual results of my play throughout the year. My spread will vary depedning on the game. I will seek to play at lower minimum tables if available.

My bankroll will be set at the beginning of the year and is considered replacable. For 2011, my bank is $10,000. If I lose $10K I will discontinue play until 2012. This bank represents a reasonable percentage of my annual income from my day job.

My location is on the East coast, but I plan to play Vegas as well. I do not play hunches, but will attempt to emulate a hunch player at the tables as cover.

I will not respond to other threads, only comment on responses to my posts. I will be honest and as accurate as possible with my accounting.

Most of the what I have learned about the game has come from members of this site. Thank you all for your help.

In future threads I hope to share some insight into what I have learned and provide some helpful tips as well.

Unfortunately I don't believe I'll have a great deal of time to play this year do to my day job, but will post accordingly. Happy New Year and good luck to all!

Sounds like you have a pretty decent plan. Only thing I recommend is that you dont use cover. Especially with your bankroll, it isn't worth it. Good luck on your endeavor

yo hunch, spend lots of time at foxwoods and pa cause ac is kinda "eh"

And if you goto vegas you dont play as long and stupidly aggressive like you can in AC and other parts fo the country.

With a 10k bank, you should be able to get comp rooms easy so make sure to take advantage of them to offset your travel expenses. You shoudl be able to get a descent amount of comp dollars to spend also, take advantage of them, and try to use them on usefull things like food, and clothing to get maximum use from them.

In vegas, you can mooch for comps from the PC unlike AC where the comp system is automated.

Be sure to pick up players cards for free parking in the ac casinos, the parking fees can get expensive on 10 hour play blocks hopping casinos.

And remember, ANYTHING is possible even though you have an advantage its still a game of random events so dont cry if you lose.

Day One

Played about three hours in western PA: 6d; das; s17; 3:2; with $15 min.
Wonged out at -5. Casino was empty due to weather conditions.
Only a few tables open. Trip bank was $1K. Ended session up $200.00 exact.
Did not tip. Top bet was $100. Played two hands most of the time, sometimes reducing to one hand in poor counts. Was expecting to be able to play $5 or $10 minimum.

Penetration? 1.5/6 cutoff?

Wong out sooner. Is wonging in allowed? zg
Wonging in is allowed, but difficult due to very few tables open. It's hard to wong out too soon. I sit down, the running count goes to -20, where can go that doesn't look real suspicious? The place was empty.

Assuming at least one or more other players, you can pretend to have a cell-call.

You meant -2, right?

Try to achieve a balance of wong-in/wong-out/wong-in. zg

Meant -20, running count, off the top of a six deck shoe. The first round was all tens with six players at the table. Bail immediately?

Yes. You can always keep your chips there to save your spot(s) and pretend to have your call until -
- a) you re-enter the game at a good count or -
- b) you enter a new game at a good count or -
- c) you enter a new show at the start. zg

Day Two

Played 2 hours 6D $5 Min with 20:1 spread. 5 of 6 decks pen or better. Won $310. Played 2 hours DD spreading $10 to $100 (not same casino) with pen greater than 1.5 decks. Won $265. Trip cash $850. Total win: $575 for day two; $775 YTD.

Witnessed another player at DD spreading $15 to $250 with no heat whatsoever.

Both casinos were busy with slot players, no so much at the blackjack tables. Most tables were closed.

Dd

DD was not in PA. Also, wanted to mention that the 6D game (PA) also has LL side bet. I made small bets at TC +10 or better, lost every one. Did not track the QH.

DD Rules

Hunch, 1/2 deck cut-off at DD is very good. What were the rules at the DD table. Could you double on anything ??
The DD game is very good, but the quality seems to be constantly changing. Today the pen was great. Dealer hits S17; DD any two cards. DD after split. No heat today, however, have seen them cut the deck in half when when known cc was playing.

Will not post location at this time. When my ten post limit is up you can PM me. There is only one table and it's not always open.

Day Three - Erie PA

Was able to play for about 45 minutes in Erie after a business meeting.

Trip cash: $1,300.
8D; DAS; Pen?; LS; S17; $10-$15 min.
Won $90.00.
YTD: $865

Not a great game. Better at Meadows south of Pittsburgh. The meadows has lower minimums and the LL side bet.
