Ploppy Abuse

Over the weekend at a local casino, I was the direct recipient of Ploppy Abuse which led to the Ploppy being kicked out of the casino.

I was at 3rd base. The Ploppy was at 1st base and there were 3 other people at the table. It started innocent enough with the Ploppy offering advice to anyone and everyone. He never gave any directly to me, probably because for 8 straight hands I got 19, 20 or BJ so he had none for me. On one hand one of the middle guys was dealt A-2 against a dealer 8. The guy hit, getting a 3. The Ploppy convinced him to stand on the 16, ignoring the fact it was 6 or 16. The dealer did end up busting and the Ploppy claimed it was because the guy with A-2-3 didn't take the bust card.

The problem hand was when the Ploppy was dealt A-6. I also had A-6 and the other guys all had 20's. The dealer had a 6. He announced that everyone should just stay(mostly directed at me) so as to not take the dealer's bust card. I of course, doubled my bet, and before I even got a card, the Ploppy went ballistic. He yelled loud enough that most everyone in the casino probably heard it, "What are you, f***ing stupid? Don't take the f***ing bust card!" I reached out like I was taking the double back but instead just tapped it and said give me a 3(didn't want to be greedy) on my 7, He said "f***" and stood up. What he didn't realize, was that the pit boss had called security and had them standing behind the guy. The security guy is 6'5" and weighs about 280. He just put his hand on the guys shoulder and said "Please sit down sir". The guy just said "F*** you!", but just stood there. The dealer gave me a 4 and then turned over a 10 down giving her a 16. She hit and got a 3 for 19. Then the guy, still with the security guard's hand on his shoulder said, "See what happened, I f***ing lost because you took the f***ing bust card, what a f***ing idiot. The security guard(who by this time had a couple people for backup, plus the pit boss) said very calmly, "Sir, pick up your chips, you are no longer welcome in our casino".

The pit boss came over after the guy was gone and apologized to the whole table saying nobody should take that kind of abuse and he was sorry that they didn't stop it sooner. He comped the buffet for everyone at the table.

I talked to the security guard later and he said the guy argued for almost an hour out front.

I don't think he paid any attention to what I got. He just knew he lost and was convinced it would be the bust card before it ever came out of the shoe.

Wow, the pit's responses sounds like it was lightning fast, that's pretty impressive.

About how much were you two betting per hand?

It's a small casino and the the security manager is almost always out on the floor. It seems like he has a sixth sense, he just knows when security will be needed.

He was betting a red, I had a green chip out.

you should have told him "whose fault is it that you have a gambling problem and are playing with money you cant afford to lose? if you are such a genius at this game after reading nothing, then go play by yourself or with some close friends, and make thousands! your a moron, and i will make all the wrong moves just so you lose if you stay at this table" then when he leaves explain to the table that its not possible for somebody to affect another persons chances, and altho it may appear to be a team game, it is not at all

i dont get it, are you trying to act like you were the ploppie at the casino? that would be a HUGE coincidence.. if so, im confused why your on a blackjack forum when you dont even know the absolute basics, such as basic strategy, or all the insane ploppie fallacies that are used as ways to redirect your losses onto others, instead of blaming either yourself or chance.. altho im guessing this is just somebody having fun acting like they were the person in that story, just to mess with mrbill

Thats why I think 90% of the posts on this board are made up. Stories like this and others just don't happen in the real world. Most of the posters are just sitting behind the computer and getting their rocks off. No real AP would ask some of the stuid questions. The latest one is CTR and MTR. Any self respecting hustler would know what these are and how to get around them. It just questions the IQ of some of the so called AP. If you can count cards you should be also wise in the way of the world. :)

Oh c'mon, you sit in a casino long enough, and you're going to see some pretty weird ****.

And a CTR or MTR can be a surprise if it's the first time you've encountered one.

Not if you are skilled in the way of the world. You should know this. Thats why either you are a AP in the way of the world or you are just sitting behind a computer pecking at the keys. Its all part of the game.:)

How do you know something you have to learn. Is knowing what a CTR the same as the biological function to blink your eyes? breathe air? Because i knew how to do that straight out of the vag, I didnt know what a CTR was until someone explained it to me. And for most on this board, AP or not, they will never deal with a CTR. So explain how people should just know what they dont know. Im interested for sure. :cool2:

CTR's are only a problem because you give up identity

If you play high stakes you will get CTR's. Sure you can avoid the close calls, ratholing and structuring your cash ins, but if you lose high stakes and are pulling cash out of your pocket, it can not be avoided and purposeful avoidence is not worth the problem.
I have been audited enough over the years to keep a very detailed journal and have paid taxes on table game winnings many years. Experience has taught me that you can hide all the small wins and all the small loses, but a big win or a big loss, even if you take some measures, can never be hidden from the casino.
CTR's do not trigger taxes. The worst part of a CTR for an advantage player is that you must give up your identity and that is the only real reason to avoid it. Unfortunately, you weight your choices. My recent one came because I pulled out a ton of cash during an extremely high count. It was walk away or trigger the paperwork, and pulling cash out is very different that cashing in anyway.

We are talking about HUSTLING FOR A LIVING not biological function. You have to know this. I have read many a post on this board where people where concerened about this. If you play RED don't worry. Green or black will get you a MTR or a CTR evenetually.
