Over the weekend at a local casino, I was the direct recipient of Ploppy Abuse which led to the Ploppy being kicked out of the casino.
I was at 3rd base. The Ploppy was at 1st base and there were 3 other people at the table. It started innocent enough with the Ploppy offering advice to anyone and everyone. He never gave any directly to me, probably because for 8 straight hands I got 19, 20 or BJ so he had none for me. On one hand one of the middle guys was dealt A-2 against a dealer 8. The guy hit, getting a 3. The Ploppy convinced him to stand on the 16, ignoring the fact it was 6 or 16. The dealer did end up busting and the Ploppy claimed it was because the guy with A-2-3 didn't take the bust card.
The problem hand was when the Ploppy was dealt A-6. I also had A-6 and the other guys all had 20's. The dealer had a 6. He announced that everyone should just stay(mostly directed at me) so as to not take the dealer's bust card. I of course, doubled my bet, and before I even got a card, the Ploppy went ballistic. He yelled loud enough that most everyone in the casino probably heard it, "What are you, f***ing stupid? Don't take the f***ing bust card!" I reached out like I was taking the double back but instead just tapped it and said give me a 3(didn't want to be greedy) on my 7, He said "f***" and stood up. What he didn't realize, was that the pit boss had called security and had them standing behind the guy. The security guy is 6'5" and weighs about 280. He just put his hand on the guys shoulder and said "Please sit down sir". The guy just said "F*** you!", but just stood there. The dealer gave me a 4 and then turned over a 10 down giving her a 16. She hit and got a 3 for 19. Then the guy, still with the security guard's hand on his shoulder said, "See what happened, I f***ing lost because you took the f***ing bust card, what a f***ing idiot. The security guard(who by this time had a couple people for backup, plus the pit boss) said very calmly, "Sir, pick up your chips, you are no longer welcome in our casino".
The pit boss came over after the guy was gone and apologized to the whole table saying nobody should take that kind of abuse and he was sorry that they didn't stop it sooner. He comped the buffet for everyone at the table.
I talked to the security guard later and he said the guy argued for almost an hour out front.
