When on such a road trip, and in such close proximity to one another, and especially in mixed company, strongly resist the temptation to consume high fiber foods.:yikes::eek:

Oh geez! was that one really necessary, CP?

Well we need some quality sleep.. Long day....We decided to stop in Holbrook AZ. And sleep. Sagefrog and Y want to see the scenery...so I don't want them to miss the flagstaff area. We will be plenty rested when we hit Laughlin tmrow.
We stopped at the Rt. 66 casino........maybe Sage wil comment on the BJ games there later. Neat, shiny casino inside......
Excellent weather. Very cool mornings but 70s for the afternoons so far....Sunny blue skies.....little windy in this area..but Holbrook always is....
Holbrook has always been a favorite town for me.......

fiber?:cat::confused::rolleyes::laugh:
well anyway, been drivin, drivin and drivin.... cool, but do i get any credit? private joke guys, but think about it, whose always gonna be on the hook on a road trip? you got it the driver.:p
but really, really been a kewl road trip for us, first time for me out west by car, first time seeing oklahoma casino's with that fifty cent ante on table card games. lot's of casino's in oklahoma and we looked some of them over. i learned some sort of general principles far as even these ante ridden joints discussing the situation with Macho. dude knows some things, i'll tell yah, all kind of stuff, lol.
Y made one AP play in one of the joints, lost six bucks, broke my heart, lol but hey it was a plus ev shot we took.
so but anyway, really neat to drive into the desert for the first time ever!
bluffs with plateaus, all kind of geologic rock and earth formations, ways that folks farm the area and exploit resources, very interesting. the desert looks different every curve and rise we go around and over, with one kind of vista or another as a scenic surprise.
scouted a joint in new mexico, got to see a 6:5 single deck bj game for the first time ever, lol. didn't mess with it, but reinforced the idea that even those monsters can be beat given the right approach. also learned a bit about a fairly new advantage play that was in the joint, sorry no further comment can be made regarding...
so we are all resting up for the evening and tomorrow it's back on the road in arizona with plans for all kind of kewl stuff, probably we are even gonna sooner or later make it to vegas after laughlin, all firsts for me.:)

Awesome times! Reminds me of some trips I made a few years back. LA to SW Florida, with casino stops in LV, Laughlin, NOLA, Biloxi, a boat in Fort Meyers, and some other sawdust joints in between. Enjoy the desert scenery, and keep posting!

Sagefrog and Y are settled in at the Pioneer for a few days....Sunday will be a scouting day for them...I'm goingto get caught up with the family.
My dad has "coffee" at 6 every morning with the boys at a local diner....A lot of bullcrap is tossed about every morning. So I guess I will get the 6am wakeup.
Laughlin roads are dugup for new sewer and asphault.....uuugghhh. thank god a lot of the snowbirds are gone already...traffic sucks.
Rooms r still cheap. 25 $ weekdays....20 at another place. Hell any kind of play will get ya free rooms it looks like .

Hey all! I won't spoil a bit of good news for SageFrog and his better half..I'm sure they will tell all about their last couple days.
Anyways.....I know Sage is meticulously going through the stores as I write.
I spent the day with parents on and off. Dad and I got the dunebuggy up and out of hibernation.... Took a 3 hr spin in it out in the desert.....Got the bad old gas all burned up ,carbs kinda cleaned themselves up..its runnin good enough. We went and visited a gold mining operation my dad is a backer of.
Think of it as a mini version of that alaska gold show on Discovery channel. 2 days they should be running material. We will see...lol
I'm always sceptical of the characters that have made this valley their home!!
Lazy day for me ..family time...
I can't wait to read Sage's story of today!!!.
Tomorow I hope to get Sage into the desert and have him climbing the hills and rocky out crops...
Tremendously wonderful weather today...72 ...no wind....blue skies..perfect

the woman's point of view

This is Y posting. How do I describe a 2000 mile cross country

roadtrip with 2 of the most infamous characters that lurk on this

site? Well I can only come up with one word, chaos. I have been

transported into the world of the comic strip and am traveling across

this great country with Garfield and Odie. I sit in the backseat

watching Macho, the always thinking, always scheming Garfield. His

wheels never stop turning in his head. Sage is true blue Odie

hinging on Garfields every word, move or command.

Our first major event as many of you have read was taking a play in

an OK casino where I lost 6 bucks. Lost you say, yes lost, as you

all know, sometimes we can and do lose even positive ev plays. Well

these two have not let me live this down. We continued this exchange

all across the southern US. I quite good naturedly took all their

razzing, but remember this guys, we wives have our ways of getting

revenge.

Next there were no rooms for the weary travelers in OK. I guess

there is some kind of major oil boom going on and all the oil workers

have all the rooms booked up. Macho and sage coffee up and get some

donuts for a sugar rush and away we go. I try to sleep in the back

seat and manage some naps but it is way too funny listening to the

banter these two can bounce off each other, They are not only

talking play, but rocks, soil, animals everything you can imagine.

Well we reached Laughlin and it is everything I was imaginging.

Cheap rooms, good cheap food and too many other things to list.

While getting a player's card for one of the casinos here I made my

strike. I won one of the biggest promotions here. Over the span of a

little more than a year I have heard from these two that I just don't

hit the button right. Now I in all my wisdom knew exactly how and

when to push the button and won $1000 in free play . So now guys you

going to keeping razzing me about a $6 loss or hitting buttons? I

think not. All in all it has been a great trip for sights, sounds

and wins.

what i did on my spring vacation

where to start, hmm, lost track of time, lol, after all there is a three hour time difference, errhh ok three days gone by in Laughlin now. been scouting joints, walking the river (it's the Colorado river by the way a fast moving clear water river). been making a play here and a play there as i been scouting around, saw a few other hustlers. lot of joints around here, plenty of opportunities, lol, not doing to bad so far, not as good as Y with her grand, lol.

so garfield and i drove off into the desert in his dad's dune buggy. checked out that gold mine macho mentioned. climbed a mountain near the mine. climbed back down. watched gold being hand panned. drove back out of the desert.
back in Laughlin macho, y, macho's parents and a friend had a t-bone steak dinner with all the trimmings on the cheap. jus chilled the rest of the evening as the ole fr0go was wore out, lol.
well anyway guys n gals, that description of yesterday's activities, lemme tell you, it doesn't even begin to be a description. think about it, how do you describe what it's like riding across the desert in a tough as nails dune buggy, how do you describe the desert what it really is, or how about what it's really like scaling a mountain and what it's really like watching a gold mine operation being put in place?

oh well guys, i'm cutting this short, gotta get some breakfast... :)
