I know this is my first time posting.

I was wondering if this was open to new players to "help" with the goal? I'm currently still learning to count but I got CVBJ in the mail and I figured if that was what you guys were using this might be a fun way to encourage me to practice.

I actually took the time to read the whole thread...

anyways let me know if you can use new players.

Yes, welcome. Please join us. We're having a good time here and you can learn a lot from these guys, as I'm sure we can learn a lot from you. They've got me interested in the software they use to analyze their play. They're a great bunch and I think you'll enjoy the exchange of ideas.

Warrior Update

It seems I'm getting a lot of positive variance. My playing is automated using basic strategy. All the checking I've done seems to indicate play is correct but I'm sure doing better than expected.

I made a (Dead link: http://www.bjstrat.net/Warrior.html) _ Weekend Warrior Update page_ since I can't seem to make images small enough to uload here.

thanks for letting me join in...

using CVBJ - once i made sure I had it all setup correctly for the hi-lo count with no indexing and everything else to get the game working right ..

I've played through 3 shoes

I'm up 3,312.50 and I have 135 hands played

and for the record in CVBJ I've realized I'm still wet behind the ears I made 10 playing errors in those 3 shoes.... I'm not visiting a casino anytime soon.

I wouldn't wait for a perfect record, but keep trying to improve. Many times when you make a mistake, you actually win, when if you had played properly, you would have lost. It's critical in the long run, but I have found counting to be very forgiving. And don't forget, mistakes in a highly negative count are not near as damaging as mistakes in a high positive count when you're betting at max.

In counting player blackjacks the only ones counted were the ones resulting in +1.5 units in my spreasheet. In other words if player and dealer both had blackjack the result is 0 in my spreadsheet but I can't determine how many times this happened from the data so I updated the player blackjack info to reference the times dealer doesn't have blackjack.

You guys are right around NO.

Kasi has either talked to much and gotten himself confused or is not talking to the dealer enough.:joker::whip:

i think maybe Kasi's computer is on the lam. it's got alzheimer's or something.

Sage,

Do you have a CVBJ? Do you think you can simulate Hi-lo lite indices with a 1-4 spread using CVBJ.
i'd like to help you out. but sorry i'm not proficient in Hi-lo lite. i've never even tryed to generate indices for the count i use which is Hi/Lo. so i don't even know if CVCX could do it. far as i know CVBJ can't either.
but thinking about it i'm afraid that to be ethical about it if i was to try maybe it would need to be with QFIT's blessing. know what i mean? or maybe QFIT will read this and offer his thoughts on the matter.
