2009 Results Poll

So, by now everyone should have closed the books on 2009.
Here's an anonymous poll to see how the year looked.
(Note that moderators can still see who voted here.)

Include all your gambling for the year, not just blackjack.

I don't gamble, so I just posted my blackjack winnings.

Only played blackjack for 6 weeks in 2009 with an advantage so it's not a complete year. Got 30 hours of play in and off to a nice start. I've definitly gained faith in counting. 2010 I hope to move up to the next bracket.

Lost $7000 in December dropped me a category by $300.

This is a combination of me and my teammate's results. I made about $4500 in 115 hours of play and my teammate made $1500 in 65 hours of play.

Either there are fewer full time players here than I thought or they have chosen not to participate in this poll.

I believe ZG scared him away, attacking him in several threads, unfortunately...

I added my vote. Had a very good 2009. 2010 is starting off as a loss...

25 winners and only 5 losers---------why don't I buy it? If all that answered so far are APs, then it could be conceivable I guess.

If only APs voted there should be no losers.

Disagree, within a twelve month window negative variance can haunt the best of us, especially if your sessions are infrequent.

I've got an issue with the options - Surely it should have been "won $0-$4999" and "lost $0-$4999"? That way we could have gauged the mindset of those $0ers!

For my first full year, after 432 hrs I was up a pitiful $1,960., but non the less, still ending the year on a plus note! The results do not including comps, rooms, show tix, etc., nor the 100's of dollars in comped gas for the car.

I had a great start to 2009, in the first 255 hrs I was up $15,075, (10% over the EV) but hit a huge wall where in the next 170 hrs I lost back over $14,000 to stand at +$340.

After the first 100hrs of the losing streak I re-evaluated the game and the way I was playing. The thoughts offered in the chat sessions by many of you were greatly appreciated. Since then things have changed and have improved.

The last 7hrs play of the year brought me up to my year ending +$1,960.

If 2010 stays on track the way I'm going (fingers and legs crossed ), I might hit a big mile stone, but only time will tell.
So far in 2010, 90hrs for January, +$11,125. thats 2.3x my EV.

I guess I do count cards sort-of, I use Hi-Lo to scan and group cards in my mind,call it a gift or what ever but I do know if a count is positive or negative or nuetral.That being said I can not believe that a higher number of people have not achieved better results,I play the game frequently and have always made 80-100k per year EASILY.I was backed off recently and am now working on my camo.

Maybe if you're playing against 1 deck 100% pen

For some reason, I'm having a problem believing this. You're guessing at the count and easily knocking down 80-100k per year, consistently???????
