With much enthusiasm (for the second time :)) i would like to announce that our next chat guest for will be none but Al Francesco!!!. Al Francesco is one of the seven original inductees into the Blackjack Hall of Fame, he is also the original pioneer of the "Big Player" concept for team play. Al is very down to earth and really nice to chat with. The chat will be on Thursday August 6th at 9 pm Eastern. Don't miss it, please not tomatoes allowed in the chat room. :)

Not according to ZGI -
To his credit, [Revere] was the true inventor of the ‘Big Player’ team approach that was borrowed and
improved upon by Al Francesco, popularized by Ken Uston, and further perfected by the MIT
Team, and others. Barred universally in Nevada, he would make frequent casino trips abroad with
his all-girl team of apparent "nieces" and "daughters."

Is that Tony?

So I forgot... how'd the Francesco chat go?

Did anyone ask him about Revere being the 'True Inventor' of BP? zg
Well the truth has been revealed.

Here's how it progressed:

[member] Revere claimed he invented the Big Player concept. Did he get that from you, or you from him?

[Al Francesco] I think Revere died before I invented the Big Player concept

[Al Francesco] Does anyone know when Revere died?

[member] 1977

[Al Francesco] I started the BP concept in 74

Revere specifically described his neices and daughters team BP scheme to me personally in early '75.

He did not die before '74. zg

Ok, so Al started his teams in 74, and Revere described it to you in 75. Al also mentioned he took 2 trips with Revere, one of which they got arrested together in Panama by Noriega. The man has had an interesting life.

But as WRX pointed out in the chat, they may have both thought of the idea independently, but one organized and exploited it in a big way.

No argument there, nor that it may not have been Revere's original idea...
BUT he did not die before Al started doing it, and he at least claimed to be doing it himself with an all girls team.
I know of no other person (other than moi) who heard about it first hand from Revere...
and they were buddies, apparently. zg
