I never played in ac, but wanted to know what would be tolerated there if you flat bet 1000 or 500. lets say you have a 100k bankroll, but dont want to use a spread.You wong in when your count goes positive and leave when its negative.Would you get halved with 500?? im assuming a1000 chip would get you thrown out quick.

the borgata is only 1k max in the regular pit. vegas has much higher limits than ac. i would think you would have higher limits, being so close to new york.I saw tommy hyland on tv a long time ago talk about how much they bet on one hand in ac.Is he full of it or have the games changed in the last 10 years.

I don't agree. If you were to flat-bet $1K in good counts in AC, the casino's repsonse would probably be to assign you a private hostess to hold your nutsack while you play.
Remember that unless they are already monitoring a counter at a table, they don't know what the count is when you enter. These guys are trained to recognize a spread that goes up and down with a count, and that's it.
yes but they would see you backcounting and coming in and out of games betting that same 1k.Thats why i dont play 6 decks. Isnt it obvious to everyone that your counting, when you stand back there and watch for 5 or 10 minutes ,come in and bet,leave, and then rinse/repeat on every table for the next hour.

Not necessarily! When you are backcounting, you are a face in the crowd. The cameras the surveillance people who know how to count (a minority) use are on the table focused on the cards. They cannot watch the cards, the bets, and the people who aren't even playing the game at the same time. Just keep moving, get really proficient at entry/exit and watch/move points, and even at backcounting two tables.
If you are backcounting tables you will probably get heat from security before surveillance or the pit, and that's because they are concerned you might be there to steal or harass people (I've gotten that kind of heat) but it will go away once they see you betting orange chips.

you could have a compatriot do some standing and watching, then signal you in.
I dont beleive in teams. That means trusting people with your money- indirectly or directly. back to backcounting. If you come in with purple or yellow chips, at that point, they will know your betting. the floor will then call the eye to let them know someone is betting purple or yellow.they will then watch you, and it only takes a few seconds .chances are you will be on that shoe for 5 or 10 minutes betting in your positive counts.your right, the first time they wont know your counting, but when you go to the next table and do the same thing, a different floor will call the eye and say purple action again.now they know your face. the eye will than assume your a backcounter if you keep doing this. Why wouldnt you sit down at one table and relax.gamblers like to sit at one table, not turn into bruce jenner.

Can a suspected advantaged player be "thrown out" in AC? I thought the laws were different there. Stanford Wong won a case that changed all that.
But that nullifies your advantage, so its really the same as being told you are no longer welcome to play blackjack at a casino.

Not if you only wonged in and flatbet. With a bankroll that can handle that kind of action there are many team related stratagies that could be used.
As already stated, you can be half-shoed. Also, they can shuffle as soon as you push out a bet, and the can also restict your max bet to $50. BTW, it was Ken Uston, not Wong.

I have to agree with AutoMonkey on this. Anyone flat betting $1000 a hand would be treated like royalty. They would assign you a private butler in addition to the nutsack holder.
I would be interested to know why you think it's feasible to play $1000 a hand flat betting. I can think of the two absolutely required prerequisites that would be required to have any shot at profitability in doing this... but wow... I mean WOW. Are you seriously considering this????
I have seen some people play 1000-2000 a hand and the (AC) casinos thought nothing of it. I witnessed a guy betting table max of $2500 a hand on two hands in Caesars some years ago... it was the damndest thing I have ever seen. He lost around $40,000-50,000 in about 45 minutes.

In the beginning of the book, he made reference to a trip to Ac that he wonged alot. without re-reading it at this moment I remember his comment about comfortable shoes. :laugh: The problem is that wonging has become more difficult in AC now (not impossible) but definately more difficult as many tables are no mid shoe entry.
i was talking about stanford wong betting 500. if you cant wong in on 6/8 deck shoes, how the hell can you win much. you cant jump from 5 to 200. its a shame ken sued the casinos.how great would it be to have DD on both coasts. what an arrogant ass he was.sometimes principle aints worths it.
