Hi, i just check the thread "New to sims. Are these results accurate?" and there is a lot of good information about the sim of Lonesome Gambler, i recently change my BR so i am working in a new spread , the play all has a ROR too big for me 13,5%, and im not comfortable with a wonging a lot, so play more than the 50% of hands is good for me.
The spread with 200 for max bet seems a lot for me, any ideas ?
Any advice or comments are welcome.

It would be good for you to understand that the important factors
of penetration and rules are quite optimistic, to understate the case.

Where will you get S17 Sr and 5 of 6 dealt ?

Nowhere - at least not at at the stakes you are suggesting.

The High Stakes tables at the BEST games in Las Vegas will require your minimum bet to be,
at minimum, $100 and you are still unlikely to see 5 of 6 dealt. Pssst. One deck is 5/8 inch.

Not only are you unable to bankroll that game at this time, but you need to understand just
how brief your time at the tables will be before they tell you that you "are too skillful" for them.

Hi, remember i do not play in USA, The items S17 Sr are the generic window in cvcx, the real rules are out of cvdata, about the penetration, in all the tables the penetration is between 4 to 5/6 and its not dificult to find dealers in the 5/6 area ( and i know how to identified the thick in fact i do have 12 decks of the same brand than the casino for practice).
the spread allow for the casino is 1 to 100 i mean between 5 to 500 dollars to 15 - 1500 dollars.
And after 6 months of playing there is no heat yet.
I play using the idea of replinishable amount of money 1000 for month (snyder), that is why my concern about bet 200 for hand ( i can lost my month BR in just 5 bad hands):)

I must be missing something. I dont understand.

1.)Your sim shows negative expected value up until count of +6.
2.)How can you only play counts of +1 and above and still be playing 53% of all hands?
3.)You also state that you are not comfortable with wonging, so how do you not play all the negative counts??
4.)You don't make your max bet until a count of +16??
5.)These count frequencies look way off to me as well. A count of +16 does not happen better than 1% of the time.

I'm sure I'm missing something. can someone please explain it to me.

Sure ,
1) i play with Mentor and the pivot TC is between 5 and 6 TC,
2) same razon than before, the TC is for 2 decks no for one or half
3) where i play you can sit and pass 3 rounds before the dealer ask for your sit( or another player) with 50 % i just sit and count only playing 50 % the time
4) usually the max bet is with 10 to 11 in play all, ( this is with cvdata cvcx and is in agreement with Renzey in his book) with backcounting always cvcx gives me max bet over 16, and for example backcounting at advantage i mean over +6 the max bet is with +25 !!!.
5) same razon than 1 and 2)
The play all its not good for the rules , and there is no table of backcounting in Renzey book.
sorry for my english if u dont understand just ask again to rephras....

Kewljason.

It doesn't look like your missing anything, it looks like the sim is not correct.

First of all what ever playing strategy he's using is resulting in a $1.00 win (see expected results) .

Enjoy.b just posted he's using Mentor.. so now I know it's not set up correctly.

Enjoy.b, if your using cvcx look at one of the canned sims. If I'm not mistaken Mentor uses 2dtc and CVCX does not support 2dtc conversion when you run sims so your getting incorrect results. If you have CVData you can set up 2dtc conversion and then use CVCX thru the tools menu of cvdata to run it correctly.

if you have cvcx, look at the "included sims" that came with the program. There should be two:
Mentor Full indices & Mentor Sweet 16 & Fab 4.

Open one of those and you will see the sims are much different then yours.
You shoud not have red lines in +2 and greater.
If you look at your results, your betting $20 but your hourly win rate is only $33.

Your second post says you emailed support. It just looks like you set it up incorrectly.

Sorry but last week i just check this with Norm and cvcx alone does not support 2dtc (over cvdata do) there is an update to fix this , maybe the setting is wrong but,,, 1,3 units by hour sounds normal for not so good rules, or im wrong?

5/6d, S17, DAS, LS and backcounting with an entry point of TC+1 should get you a win rate/hr higher than 1.7 x your $20 unit. With these rules and no backcounting you should have a win rate/hr in the range of $50+/hr. If your rules are worse what does the sim you posted represent for you?

If you use cvdata, after you set up the rules and the custom TC settings, than go to CVCX through the tool menu at the top of the CVData screen. This should allow you to run 2dtc.

My game 5/6d, S17, DAS, early surrender only to 10, no hole card OBBO version, Double only 9,10,11, no RSA, Split only to one hand , cvcx alone does not support all this so i use cvdata to sim my game,(the little window in the cvcx jpg still show S17 DAS etc) with 2dtc .
The PIVOT in Mentor is +5 to +6 (Renzey say that in his book) so +5 is in red still.
PS. this rules are the same in all the new casinos in my country, except in the older casino where the deck is 3/6, and is at 2 hrs in plane. I play in a new casino (7 months) at 10 minutes in car from my house.

With the mentor count and the rules you are suggusting, you should still be out of the red somewhere around +2.

Only when using 1dtc, check that using cvdata with custom TC "multiply sample table" and then go to cvcx using the tools menu go to cvcx.

I must admit, I am having trouble coming up with your initial house edge. I have used 3 different sources and come up with 3 different totals, however they all are below .5 initial house edge. With a level 2 count such as mentor you should be in positive EV somewhere around +2 count. If you are still in the red at +5 something is wrong.

Using blackbelt (snyder) and BJAttack (Don S....) the house edge is 0,29 and 0,31%, use this link to fix your cvcx and then check again , im not sure this allow correct the sim of the canned ones, but sure will fix using cvcx or cvdata making a new sim, remember to use custom TC and multiply table sample , if you do not use this, the software use 1dtc, like HiLo.
