Take it from someone who has lost a huge portion of his meager bankroll.
There is only one thing you can do to get back on the right track.
I made a realization. Card counting is not the destination. It is merely one of the first doorways you must step through.
Look for opportunities beyond card counting. Anywhere you see cards exposed can potentially be an advantage. I cannot go into greater detail. Next time you play, just observe. Look for any weaknesses. Then PRACTICE how you can exploit them.
What seems impossible at first is doable if you practice it. Without a much larger bankroll, counting alone will be an extremely risky proposition, unless you have better games in KS than I thought.
I am currently abstaining from some great games because I can only attack them with counting. We're talking 90% pen and late surrender. But I lack the bankroll for counting alone, still! So I have been playing elsewhere, even some games that look very much inferior for the counter on the surface.

Thats something I never thought about, I see faults in dealers all the time. And other things. I haven't been anywhere else to compare casinos. I guess I should though

Again, all I can say is OBSERVE EVERYTHING. Make a mental note of the dealer who paid your 17 when he had 18. Information in the casino is your friend, and nothing about your experience that you remember is wasted.

I have become a bit of an expert on seeking out dealer mistakes if I do say so.
All I can say is, try to remember the circumstances under which the mistakes were made, and do what you can to duplicate them later on.
Often, but not always, the key is chattiness. Get them to start talking more than you'd ever want to listen to, keep the conversation going.
If you lose some of your ability to count, BFD. One dealer mistake in your favor will more than make up for any lost EV if you lose accuracy in counting due to chatting. This can be a ticket to less heat from the pit critters, too! Though being a female surely helps with that too, at least with older male critters.
And whatever you do koseao, from now on keep BJ a secret from that unsupportive BF of yours. Even people who I know support my casino play, I don't like to have them with me. There is so much more pressure. You don't want to raise your bets as much as you should because you don't want it to blow up in your face while you have someone watching, to have them think you have a gambling problem. If they really truly get the nuts and bolts of blackjack, they can help your game in several ways. Shame your BF will never be this! Unless you found another boy in KS who will actually support your endeavors.

Please everyone keep in mind that AP can't be a social event unless you are with other AP's, preferably those whom have earned the same stripes you have. When you are playing all-out, bringing a civilian with you is bad news. It can't be fun for a civilian. It's not even all that fun for us.
