Yeah, I think they changed it this fall (maybe late summer). No more S17 table either. (They usually had at least one at $25+)

Ask the pit
On my last Vegas trip I asked the pit at the Trop and they opened a $25 table for me, still S-17 but surrender is gone. Since they have cut staff they do not automatically have a $25 table unless they get a player request.

Every casino I'm aware of is hurting financially.
There are no S17 Sp21 games in LV. The last CBJN I have is October and none are listed in it. Do you have a current issue and which casinos are supposed to have them?

I'm going on secondhand info from wizardofvegas.com, which is supposed to be based on CBJN. It lists several. Cleared inbox, too.
There aren't any. Wizardofvegas lists several, and it's wrong (though the printed HE looks right.)
(I've pointed this out to Michael, but it remains uncorrected for months now.)

Priceguides sometimes make what appear to be errors but are really copyright protectors. If someone merely copys Micheals work, the errors will show that.
I once was involved in a card price guide that was sued by Dr Beckett claiming we stole his previous work. We maintained we'd done our own research. At a pre-trial hearing, his lawyer asked where we got the price for a certain card. Before we could answer, he introduced proof that the card didn't exist and had been inserted into the guide for just such a reason.
At that point, our lawyer recommended we agree to cease publication, as long as we paid no damages and admitted no wrongdoing.
Might these be something along those lines?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums here, but not to Advantage Play BJ.
I was in Vegas on a business trip last week. In the evenings I shopped around quite a bit to find a good place to play away from The Strip, and away from all the commotion downtown over the new CityCenter complex.
I found 2 pretty good places to play out West: the Red Rock and the JW Marriott. Both had good penetration (>70%) on $15-25 min Double-Deck tables, especially the Red Rock. Lots of black chip/big green stack players, so my $25-$100 spreads were mostly under their radar (I think).. At Red Rock it seemed like Pit people were ignoring the BJ tables, so maybe they rely on SkyNet for table monitoring.
I also explored some places up north. Forget about Texas Station, but next door the Fiesta Station was pretty good. The place is old and dumpy, but they had about 80% penetration on double-deck. But the decks were mostly negative for the hour I played there, so I didn't do much of a spread, $10-$30 on the $10 table. I imagine there would be heat with green chips.

It's probably a good idea to dress like a hard working guy or gal here. Yes, green chip action draws some attention, but nothing freaky if you're not jumping your bet outlandishly. Very good Mexican restaurant attached but I don't know if you can score comps for it.

I was at Rampart (JW Marriott) last fall at SD game.... I split aces and the dealer put a card on each ace ( I got a 2 and a 3)....then the dealer asked if I wanted another card on the first ace... I was dumbfounded...took another card...same thing on the second ace...Never seen it anywhere before or since...
On WOV, I was very excited to see a lot of 6D H17 DAS RSA LS games at Bellagio, Mirage, Monte Carlo, and MGM Grand for $5 minimum. So, if this is true for weekdays only, how much do they become on weekend nights? $10? $15?

The only one of those that I can vouch for is MGM, which has a pit that almost always has $5 6D games. Mirage is usually $10, and Monte Carlo is almost all 8D, also at $10. Remember, these things change frequently, and I don't play at some of those places often, so it's best to check. Bellagio rarely has $5 anything, and most of their BJ games seem to be CSMs. Regardless, all of those places are nearby, so my recommendation is to start at MGM and wander. You'll find what you're looking for on the south strip at MGM properties only, from my experience.
By the way, when the $5 games increase, it's typically to $10 and then $15. Even at busy times, most of those places will have at least a couple of $10 games.
