the insurance bet should pay 2:1 .1. Could someone please explain to me how insurance works and how the pay outs work with it?
2.What happens when a player ties a dealer? does the player get his bet back or does the player lose their bet to the dealer?
so if the insurance bet is say $10, and the player wins it, the dealer pays the player $20?? 2:1? $10 profit??
yes that is correct assuming the dealer did not also have blackjack.3:2 for a blackjack. does that mean if the bet is say $10 and the player gets an ace-ten the dealer pays player $15.

if you have blackjack and the dealer has an Ace up the dealer will often ask you if you want even money. taking even money would be the same thing as taking insurance in this instance. never do it unless you are counting and the true is greater or equal to +3 .i also heard that if the player gets 21 he's offered insurance. is that true and how does it work.
