What happened was that it was raw on one end and overcooked on the other with the middle just right. It was not a pleasant experience. In general, a filet (off the bone) is cooked perfectly with little trouble, but with bone attached it would take much expertise to cook it perfectly methinks. I have had other cuts attached to the bone that were exceptional. I figured filets due to their extra thickness present a different cooking challenge with bone attached.
 
If you get a chance, take a ride down to Town Square, a Beverly Hills style shopping area on South Las Vegas Blvd. before you get to Fry's Electronics. Some of the eating places:

"off-strip" ?? are you kidding me? :eek: Can't take advantage of the $1 monorail rides, if I go off strip. :laugh: Do they even have restuarants off-strip? lol

Hold on a sec, Jason . . . if there were anyone who I thought would advocate venturing off-strip, I thought that person would be you . . . after all, aren't you into long-distance marathon-type running? :laugh:

There's a city out there! :eek: It has many fine features for those not ensnared by the strip and downtown.:) In fact, I know numerous locals who never venture to the strip--hmmm---I wonder why? :laugh: :whip:
