The dealer who wouldn't let me hit!

I had a dealer in Vegas recently who wouldn't let me color up. I had $500 in red chips and when I tried to color them up he pushed them back at me and said in his broken English/oriental dialect "You color up when you done playing!" I tried again repeatedly and kept getting the same response. He was running low on red chips too.

I had the same problem once playing at Palace Station. Started losing on the $25 DD, cashing in several times totaling over 1k. Well things turned around and I tried to color up my buy-in. "You leaving?" "No". "You color up when you leave". 1/2 an hour later it was time to leave, 3k of green chips sitting on the felt was a little too obvious....

Hmmm. I wonder if they rotate the dealers between different Station Casinos. Sounds like the same one I had but this was a different Station Casino. I finally got him to call the pit boss over and he couldn't understand what he was making such a big fuss over. He basically told the dealer "you need red chips, he has red chips. Color him up" The dealer didn't seem to happy about the whole thing. He didn't get tipped either!

I had this same thing happen to me downtown a couple of years ago. So when I left I just refused to let them color me up. Stuffed my chips in pocket and went to the cage. The hell with them.

when I hit my A,17 against a dealer (9,10,A) I seem to either get stuck with a stiff or get a hard 18. Never a 21, that's really lucky.

Most dealers tell me to always stand on soft 18, but of course I politely follow basic strategy and hit it when I should. I piss off a lot of other players following basic strategy because they don't and they accuse me of messing up the cards. Like I hit 16 (when count was -3) against dealer 9. I busted of course and dealer somehow gets 21 and this guy accused me of taking the dealer's bust card and left the table angry.

I get in trouble with others for playing two hands when the count is high. They tell me it messes up their cards and that I need to either always play two hands or stick to one hand and stop playing two hands sometimes and not other times. Of course I can't explain to them that I play two hands only when the count is high, so I just leave the table if they don't leave the table to avoid the negative energy.

When I open 2 or more boxes, I explain to other players that this changes the magical flow of the cards and helps everyone win. Its works even better if the civilians actually start winning. I give the same explanation when I go back to playing 1 box.

The biggest problem I have had with dealers when I am winning are intentional mis-pays in the casino's favor. In this moment, the supervisor also happens to be distracted and oblivious to the mis-pays.:whip:

I've had idiots start sh** with me over stupid things, like splitting 3's against a 6 (I get two 10's and dealer has 16 and gets a 21). Or standing on a 14 against a 5 (dealer shows 11 and catches a 10). The ploppy asked me why I didn't hit my 14??? I told him I didn't want a 24. Usually happens when they're tapped out. Ploppies just like to blame others for their misfortune.

As I mentioned in another thread, get your vengeance by wonging out on their asses and let them get a face full of those low cards.

Whenever I ask the dealers in AC to pay in Blacks on a GC table, they do - But that's only when you have more than 1 unit out in the circle.
