taking away ones freedom, wrongfull incarceration, harrasment and threats, all for just using ones mind and breaking no law can leave emotional scars that are very real.
Why anyone would want to do this for a living, when they may have other choices and opportunities, is way beyond me.

I do believe they are capable of breaking a hand, rib, jaw, etc. and recent experiences bear that out.
Also taking away ones freedom, wrongfull incarceration, harrasment and threats, all for just using ones mind and breaking no law can leave emotional scars that are very real.

True, can imagine there can be a overzealous security guard. But at a big corporate casino, if your backed off and don't escalate, sure there won't be a physical situation. Corporate types are deathly afraid of lawsuits.
As far as psychological effects, yes everyone would handle it differently, so have to know yourself and how you would handle it. Thankfully I have a bit of a sociopathic streak in me :grin:

Sorry, it was to hard,to hard words,not nice indeed, but Kj led people think, winning and make a living only with counting 6 deckers is very easy.

As I read through the responses here, I am saddened by my recent passing. :laugh: That's what one would think by reading. I specifically said, I will still be reading the board and will occasionally post, just far far less and no specifics as far as details of my experiences. However, I do appreciate the good thoughts from most.
Shad: 'welcher' is someone who loses a bet and doesn't pay up. I think that is a little strong of a term. There was no bet involved. You provided me valuable some info, which was very kind of you. Being the master comp hustler that you are, you decided that was worth a beer. Terms that you set after the fact. But that is fine. I have no problem with that. Don't label me a welcher when I haven't even had the opportunity to pay up yet. :laugh:
C.P. No big cat. I am not a writer as my posts prove. I have no interest in writing a book. That would be a major reduction in income and bring my more lucrative income to a halt in my opinion. No benefit what-so-ever. Plus I have nothing to say that I haven't already stated and I don't think there is much interest in a rags to lower middle class story. :laugh: (although maybe in this economy rags to middle class is the new rags to riches) Also, I doubt this person was who he represented himself. Waiting outside someone's residence is not a very professional way to conduct business.
Masterofnone: thanks for the good thoughts. This is not about bad variance at all. I am having an outstanding year. I just want to be able to continue to so, for the remainder of this year and for years to come. Recent incidents have put that in jeopardy, at least in my mind.
To those of you who think I am overreacting and being too paranoid. Think again. There is a real connect between the surveillance community and the online blackjack community. At least here in Vegas. Be careful. I can't undo the amount of info I have put out there, but I can reduce it going forward.
And finally to Elhombre: Your comments really deserve no response. It matters not one iota what you or anyone thinks of me. However if you are going to quote someone like Kim Lee, perhaps you should speak to him, before posting his thoughts. I speak to him regularly and am pretty sure you misrepresented his thought. I also don't believe I mislead or encouraged any new players to follow in my footsteps as your second post suggests. I simply shared my experiences good and bad. And if you have read my post, there were plenty of bad experiences as well.
I also want to take this moment just prior to the Ex-griff chat scheduled tomorrow to say, I don't count Ex-griff as part of this spy group that may be infiltrating the boards. I don't know for sure if Ex-griff is who he says he is or not. (I am actually leaning toward that he is) But if he is he hasn't misrepresented himself. Was right up front about it. I also know some of you are suspect because he was not familiar with OSN. Again, he was upfront about that. Would have been easy enough for him to look up some info on line, but he told the truth, that he was unfamiliar with them. Remember he clearly stated that his time with Griffin was a decade ago. I am looking forward to the chat, hoping to learn some things and hope we can all be respectful and civil.

I challenge you to find even ONE statement by KJ that backs up this accusation. The fact is; KJ has pretty much CONSISTENTLY gone out of his way to debunk that notion. :whip:

I only count for a couple of hours a week and I already feel emotionally scared. Just got back from the casino and had my ass kicked at every table even though I only played at positive counts! Can't wait to go back to work tomorrow! My hat off to you pros for doing this day in and day out!

I don't think he ever told anyone it was EASY. But it's certainly doable, if you can actually count and have a bankroll.

Your posts were informative and helpful. You answered those who asked for help and helped others with facts and experience. You went out on a limb to help and often gave too much.
You shared reasoning on cover, length of play at various games, where to play, when to play, betting ramps, interacting with dealers, playing anon, etc. etc....sounds like a much older and experienced AP.
For those who know Vegas and/or AC, we know the information in your posts was accurate. We also know you posted with a kind heart, even when you disagreed with another.

You beat me to it, was thinking about this yesterday night, as it didn't sound quite right.
I have no idea what they do in that surveillance room, but I am pretty certain they won't do that. It just doesn't add up in my mind. I can't fathom what info on this board is so pertinent that they would need to post it on the wall in the surveillance room. Unless somebody mentioned the time and location and the attendants of the BJ Bash.

Kewljason, thank you for sharing your experience and lessons. I hope you’re not discouraged by whatever intimidation tactics that the casinos and their personnel use to undermine your participation in our community at blackjackinfo.com.
It is ridiculous that casinos design a game like blackjack and only allow losers to turn over their money to these casinos. People who are willing to use their brains (i.e., counting) are generally not welcomed.
New counters like me learn from your posts and posts of other experienced players. We in turn pay it forward and benefit the counters who come after us. By sharing ideas and lessons, we strengthen our online community here and level the playing field against the casinos.
Do what you need to do to protect your bread and butter. And try your best to keep penning those posts.

Surveillance people also learn from kj's posts as those of other experienced players. By sharing ideas and lessons, we strengthen the surveillance people in our online community to be better at detecting us. What more could surveillance want than a place to go where APs discuss what they do and where they do it and how they get away with it. Find someone you can trust and who trusts you and correspond by PM. Usually, you can trust someone who others have met in person and can vouch for, or who have a longstanding reputation in the AP community. But always remember that this is an anonymous community online for the most part. I am giving you advice, but I do not know you and will not confide in you until someone I trust vouches for you. That's just the way it is.
