Top payout is limited to $5,000 per table per round, so there would be no point in betting more, would there?

The 200:1 accounts for only about 1/10 of the EV. The 1000:1 pay out only accounts for about 1/16 of the EV.

I've seen several joints that limit it to $5-$10k. But again it's no big deal, since that only limits the 1000:1 pay off - which is real small EV because of extremely low frequency.
