Perhaps he had a financial nut to crack. Once he covered his nut, he walked. I've seen it happen in the commodity market where a client bets large for a quick hit due to a financial deadline.

Could be. It looked like he was not much interested in playing for any length of time, just hope to make a quick hit and leave.
