Are you talking about the little red light green light device rather than the simple mirror prism device that is much cheaper and can't break? They are leftover relics from when Steve Wynn owned the Mirage and he came up with the idea for those things.
Why does the Mirage use an automatic peeking device and most of the other LV casinos do not?
But Mirage is the only one using a fancy, unique device.
I would estimate that there are somewhere around 30-50 casinos in the U.S. that use that particular device.
