Me too! I kept moving my laptop from table to table - coffee table, kitchen table - I moved after small losses, and when I moved to a dirty ash tray I had my best results of all. zg

No wonder I get such bad variance sometimes. I don't smoke!

Here's the best - play in your room for hours on free PC game, untill you have a BIG downward spike, then go down to the casino (you're due) and directly to a very dirty ash tray'd table. zg
 
LOL I used to do that.

I would play online with $1 hands on a game with 0.1% house advantage until I had a really bad streak of cards. Then I would go to the real casino, mainly because even if i lost, they are probably going to be better than the cards i was getting online anyway.

As for the target system... complete and utter-****. Things would have been alot different back then in 1983 and it would have taken alot to get the word around and get the mathematics out etc.
 
Patterson was not really a researcher. He ran a respected BJ school. Eddie Olsen designed the TAble Research, Grading and Evaluation Technique (TARGET.) Patterson sold it and ordered his instructors to start teaching it. There was a revolt and Patterson lost all respect in the field. Even the designer, Olsen, backed off of TARGET and started emphasizing counting again. Yet Patterson has continued to sell it to this day (mostly via Ron Fitch AKA Boris.)
