Would legalized sports betting impact blackjack?

This is also true of sports betting. They know they will lose from time to time but it gets the foot traffic in the door. If a guy goes to bet a couple games, there's the possibility he stops by the tables. Or he brings his wife or girlfriend along and she plays slots while he watches the games.
 
Don S likes jokes. So a guy is sitting in the sportsbook with a can of peanuts he kiped from the VIP room. He is trying to pick out the cashews. His lady just lost at the blackjack table. She is whizzed off at losing, so she storms up and says "c'mon we're leaving. NOW" The guy is stunned. So he is trying to put on his jacket and guzzle his beer. So in his rush, he tries to hand the cup to her and says, "honey, would you mind holding my nuts." She replies, "hell yes I mind and don't be expecting a kiss later if you don't get your ass moving now." o_O

Hilarious. I like that better. Actually, that was a true story. People were laughing at other tables. But he hadn't figured out what was so funny yet. Next time he tells the story (which is almost daily) I will make that insertion. :D

BTW. I could've come up with far better handles. Dummy doesn't seem to apply. Dear Hunter. Beach Boy. Curt. Jaws. Surfin Safari. Comet.

I got the nickname in college. It was an ironic name for my smarts but actually got its genesis playing bridge in the Engineering Lounge. There was at least one game going 24/7. Everyone wanted me as a partner because I was really good at the bidding conventions. But they wanted to play the hand. So they wanted me to be the dummy. The bidding decides who is dummy of the partners that won the bid for a contract. I haven't played bridge in decades but the name stuck.
 
Was the Ken Uston decision only for card counters or APs in general? If its for APs, William Hill has been breaking the law barring certain sports bettors in its New Jersey sportsbooks. We know they have ways of getting around to law to exclude counters, like shuffling up when the TC gets high. Nothing subtle about this. These sports bettors need to call Bob Nercesian (sp?).
