look let’s be honest. Before this I was a electrician. That was when I was 21. Hated it.
It was in nyc and high buildings. Climbing around either in ball freezing weather or hot as hell. By 22 I started playing black jack. I’m 43.
As bad as the game is I rather be in a casino grinding it out.
Try to find exploitable games.

I will assume you make $150,000 a year? Çorrect? If this is your main source and not making that much you just wasted 20 years of you life.

Most folks never make a $150,000 in a year at any point in their lives. Only about 15% of the population have $150,000 or over household income and that is household income not individual income.

Well I don't like to assume because it makes you make a ass out of yourself. Most Electricians don't make 150 large a year. But I did do other side work while playing. Now its down to just Black Jack.
If you want to know how much i make you better be a hot blonde girl between 21-35 years old.

All the construction electricians that I know (2) (Union) make $44 dollars an hour. With their OT and benefits, they easily make $150,000 a year. How did you even have a card at 21? You have must have been some kind of scab not a card-carrying licensed union electrician.

There you go assuming again. Its called being an apprentice. I think 3rd year. I didn't like it because of weather and the hours. But you should try it since you have so much interest in it.
You maybe good at it.
So give us an assumption of how much money you have made over the last 20 years. By my estimates, you have left 2 million of benefits and wages on the table. I hope you have made over 2 million in your career playing BJ. Does your BJ job give you medical and does it have a retirement plan? As you get older you will ask yourself "What the Fuck did I do with my life"?

This seems personal to you. Did you try to become a Electrician and didn't cut it ? I'm asking because i don't want to assume like you do because you sound like a asshole. I still have a lot of Friends that still work as electricians. I live a comfortable life style and i have the ability to make money in different areas.
How old are you and what have you done with yours ?

It is a ridiculous thread because anyone choosing advantage play and in particular card counting as a long term occupation or main source of income, is going to be disappointed. If you are in it strictly for the money do something.....almost anything else.
Anyone pursuing card counting longterm, it is about more than money. It has to be a passion to do THIS. Don't get me wrong....we all want to make money. But there is only so much to be made as a card counter. I believe it is upper 5 figures to touching 6 figures annually for anyone seeking any kind of longevity. More if you are looking to slash and burn higher stakes for a year or until you have worn out your welcome everywhere. I have tried to show that through my participation on these forums.
So anyone comparing blackjack card counting to some other occupation is talking 2 different languages. You are comparing apples, not to oranges, but to twinkies.

I agree if your talking just Black Jack and card counting.
if your an advantage player and have contacts you can make money. Just don’t do anything that is illegal.
card counting is the bottom of the barrel in advantage play. 1percent.
it’s just the most common Game ability.
But your right you should use your money in other areas of life where you can make more of it. Property or side Bissiness.
