Stupid Question about Players Cards

In Vegas,neither Harrahs nor MGM will give you much for playing BJ at low stakes. You would be better off getting cards for each and spending a half hour playing nickel slots.You'll get better comp offers off that then $5-15 BJ.
Harrahs especially is geared to slot players. Their BJ sux,so I wouldn't play it in the first place.Their Video poker has bad pay tables as well.

actually, the buy in is pretty important. i boosted my comps by buying in for about 3x as much as i was willing to lose, so $400 for a $10 flat bettorOk Thanks!!
I Have a couple more questions....I Know your points are based on Length of time at table, adverage bet..etc...question is how do they know all that, Do they watch the cameras and then find it out or they have someone watching you ..Just curious
remember, slots includes video poker, which can be just as good as bs blackjack, as long as you know how to play and you pick a good paytable, but these days the paytables are horrible at most places, and you sometimes have to go to $5 ($25 with the highly recommended max bet) just to find anything over 98%, but back in the 90s, it wasnt uncommon for there to be +ev paytables such as 100.76% with deucesThe only time I have played a slot machine, I played a dollar machine, and it just ate my $20 without a single win (screw that).
$300? i hope you can find $5 games, as you could easily lose $300 in less than 10 hours with $10 gamesOuch... That's harsh. I am only planning on bringing $300 to gamble. Betting green chips could really cut my trip short.
yes, video poker will earn you decent comps, but make sure you know how to play and pick a good paytable.. i highly recommend vpsm, it is the king for vp, nothing it cant do, and its $30So, for a red-chip Blackjack player, Harrah's is better for comps than MGM Mirage?
Also, how is Video Poker for comps? I recall reading that with VP, the house has only a small edge.
where in chicago do you live? i live in glen ellyn, and i go to nw indiana to play, as the casinos here suck, and arent 24 hours, but i heard harrahs has a game under .4%, but i dont believe it. if you do go to harrahs in joliet, and they do indeed have like a .36% house edge, can you view the discard tray, and are you allowed to jump in/out?It All Depends on You, Personally I live in Chicago, I dont make it out to Vegas That Often, and THe Best Blackjack Games i Found here in Chicago are at Harrah's Casinos. i was told by a pit guy that the buy in is most important, and that its hard to track how much your betting.. of course we all know what the most important is, its how much your betting per hour or whatever, but what about ploppies who are crazy superstitious and go from $10-$100 randomly? how do they track that? i used to buy in for $50 at the $3 tables back in winter, and then the guy told me that, so i started buying in for $200-$400 and my comps increased, all while betting $3 flat, but im at a dif casino now, so maybe it works differently.. if i plan on betting $10 flat, i wonder what i should buy in for? well i need at least $200 anyways, so ill just buy in for $200-$400

PB are upposed to check each table at least three times an hour,and note your average bet(they are supposed to watch several hands,but seldom do).
Formula goes like this Average bet times hands played(they are lazy and usually just call it 60 hands an hour)times hours played. So a $10 bettor would be $10x60=600X 3 hours= 1800 in action.They assume you will lose
5%,so the theoretic gain to the house is $90.They'll usually offer food comps for between a third and a half of your expected losses,so a $10 flat bettor can expect about $30-45 in food comps after three hours.Some casinos use different formulas but thats about the standard.
Now if you eliminate 20 hands played each hour,by taking a smoke break /bathroom break,you can safely raise your bets to $15 without risking a dime more,while seeing your comps go up by a third.

The Have No mid Shoe Entry on $25 Tables and Higher Only, and no you cannot view the discard tray.

i heard there are 3 skill levels on the computers and they rarely change a player to "good" or "bad" they just leave it at average.. is this true? cuz i usually have my bs and index papers sitting out on the table (i know bs, i just have to check it once in a blue moon when i dont want to think cuz im concentrating on counting)
