Can someone tell me if this is heat?

Good Morning Everyone, I was at a Casino in Wisconsin Last night. , When I first started a dealer was delaing with moderate speed, but as I started to win more and more, They brought in a dealer that would dealer extremely fast. I still could keep count, but man, im just wondering if anyone thinks this is heat or just a normal everyday change of dealer? Sorry if this is a stupid question, im just new to this. I was spreading $25-200 on a 8 Deck Game. I stayed on the table for about an hour.

switching dealers is a good way mess up the shoe in general (burn card). faster could be interpreted as testing the waters by the floor. I wouldnt sweat it unless you started seeing more PB action at your table.

You'd have to watch where the turbo dealer went after your table to see if the rotation was planned or unplanned.

More importantly, why were you only spreading 1-8 at an 8D game? Most importantly, why were you playing all in an 8D game?

Well, I usually play 6D thats just where i was last night, but i try to limit the spreads because im trying to remain under the radar. do you think im being too conservative?

I have avoided 8 deckers but if I find a 6 deck game with good pen I might either play all or if the count tanks with plenty of cards left, take that bathroom break, phone break or whatever and return. If I were to play 8 deckers it would only be in a casino where the opportunities to wong in are easy (not too crowded and no limitations on mid shoe entry). Now if you do wong in on 8 deckers you will not need as big of a spread because you are no longer playing negative counts and 8 to 1 will get you the money nicely.

Spreading 25 to 200 will not even get you noticed at a 8 deck game. I have never seen heat at a 8 deck game.

If a casino gets suspicious, they will sometimes change their rotation to put their most experienced dealer at your table. Usually this means getting a faster dealer. I like it when this happens since I get more hands per hour. In fact, the one time it happened to me, I think it had more to do with the fact I was winning than I was counting. I was only spreading 2:1 because the count never got very favorable, yet I was getting extremely lucky managed to come out ahead by more than 100 units. If they were worried about me counting an 8D shoe with just a 2:1 spread, they're idiots. I think they probably credited me with more skill than I actually had, and put their best dealer on my game to ensure I wasn't exploiting any loopholes in an inexperienced dealer's procedure. When I continued to win, I was restricted to playing one hand at the table minimum.

I personally wouldn't consider a dealer change alone "heat". If it's accompanied by frequent phone calls, a bunch of PCs hovering around your table, or if all the sudden penetration goes to crap, then they are most certainly trying to send you a message.

Thanks for the info!. I did leave the game shortly after this new dealer arrived, it had nothing to do it the new dealer, I was just done for the night, I wonder if the PB's were thinking "That worked pretty well, we got him to leave" LOL.
