Best thing that ever happened to me was unbelievable horrible negative variance almost as soon as I began playing...in 12 visits I lost 700 units which was a VERY LARGE percentage of my 900 unit bankroll...steadily over the succeeding almost 20 visits I got it all back and landed a few hundred...

I must plead ignorant to the Kelly methodology...I see no justification for it...I simply try to play with a good old simple .5 % OR LESS ROR. Which basically gives me a 1 in 200 chance of blowing my bankroll....I can live with that.

Unless your endgame is to play for comps.....NEVER PLAY FOR COMPS....just play whatever strategy that is appropriate given the game at hand and your BK....my rule of thumb is to never adjust your play for comps...unless of course that is why u r playing

While rare, a 10%+ advantage in BJ card counting is certainly possible....think about a TC of 20+...which mirrors to a little less than 10% advantage depending upon the rules.
