Yep, me too. I keep quiet at the time and I don't think anyone noticed but boy did I crack up about it as I left.

Totally agree. Span21 players get way more pissed off at me than regular BJ players. They usually end up leaving the table because I "eff" things up for them so bad. lol :laugh:

I think that if you have never played BJ in a casino environment, playing BS only (if you're not ready to count) would give you some experience. You may find yourself nervous raising bets, or just playing BJ, or whatever. In my opinion going to a casino for the first time playing strictly BS...

So true... So true LIA. Most will never get rich. I certainly won't, not from counting anyway :eyepatch:. That never was my goal though, I love the chase of perfecting a skill. And yes RJT, there are great many of wonderful posts detailing SOOOO much about the basics. Those posts helped...

Much agreed avenger. It's amazing what can ACTUALLY happen at the tables despite my knowledge of what is to be "expected". Well, I find it amazing at least.

Welcome Welcome to the forumn. There is so much information here as well as in books. You seem to be doing the right thing by reading and practicing. I agree that you don't need to do your practice in the casino. Learn your count and BS very VERY well before you hit the tables. Also...

I just wanted to post a thread about some realities that I have found come with CC'ing. For someone just learning about and getting into counting, it is easy to feel a false hope of easy money. From reading posts and talking to others about this exciting avenue it just seemed fitting to post...

I find it a tad easier to count with multiple players at the table but I certainly like playing heads up much more than at a table with others.

I think that you are allowed to re-double up to three times making your bet 8 times your original wager. 5 (original wager) to 5 to 10 to 20. That is at least how I understand it.

I am pretty sure you have to use an existing strategy that is in the menu, name it what you want, and then modify it to match the strategy you want to learn. I have done this and it is working well for me.
