RAW VIDEO: German police say four heavily armed robbers who stormed a Berlin poker tournament and escaped with the jackpot are still on the run.

An armed gang that staged a brazen heist on a 4.7 million euro ($7 million) Berlin poker championship were amateurs and will be caught soon, the head of the German police union said on Monday.

While a police spokeswoman said there were no firm leads yet, police union chief Rainer Wendt told NTV television: "As for the perpetrators, one has to say: this was clearly not the work of professionals.

From I hear about German interrogation methods the police should get some information from this guy, maybe even a confession.

If the notes were 500's you would be surprised how much could fit in a bag.

Switzerland casino is robbed by armed gang

Masked men have stormed a packed casino near the Swiss border city of Basel, making off with hundreds of thousands of francs (dollars), prosecutors say.

About 10 raiders pulled up at the Grand Casino in two cars just after 0400 (0200 GMT) and smashed their way in, brandishing machine-guns and pistols.

The French-speaking gang ordered the 600 guests and employees to the floor while they emptied registers.

The Grand Casino describes itself as the "Swiss Las Vegas" on its website.

Reports say they could not get into the strong room despite firing on the door.

Nobody was seriously injured in the robbery.
