A/10 Front Count Bankroll Requirements

I am a $15 per hand average bettor. On a 6-deck shoe game where the front count is "32" or less, I will be betting 6 units at $10, or $60, through the rest of the shoe. What is the recommended bankroll to play at this level? You have to expect some splits and doubles are also going to come along and I would like to have realistic expectations about the $$$ required.

With the crap A/10?? Should have 12,000 and expect 10/hr. Better learn HOW TO COUNT! zg
 
If you were to treat your bankroll as completely non-replenishable, then $12,000 doesn't seem that unreasonable an estimate. But $10/hr seems to be an unrealistically high win rate :)

A/10 suffers from lots of fluctuation as well as a small edge, if you've got a bunch of money to throw at this, strongly recommend moving up to a count like KISS III or KO at least.
 
Pardon my ignorance, but what is the edge for KISS III and KO? HI-LO? Aren't we talking about 1.5%, roughly?
 
Why doesn't anyone here play hi-lo? If it's good enough for MIT, it's good enough for me.

Playing the basic Ace/10 Front Count (no counting any further than the front two decks), at $10-to-$60 stakes, you'll probably be at fairly crowded tables averaging maybe 70 hands per hour. Following the book's recommended wong-in, wong-out procedures, your hourly expected win will be about $3 with an hourly standard deviation of $200. Using John Auston's BJRM 2002, here are some bankroll requirements for a 5% risk of ruin.

4 hour session......$900
25 hour trip........$2300
300 hour year.....$7300

In contrast, using KISS III, KO or Hi/Lo the same way, your hourly expected win would be around $7 with the same $200 hourly SD. Following are the comparative bankroll requirements for a 5% ROR.

4 hour session......$900
25 hour trip........$2100
300 hour year.....$6200
