For our purposes it's not expensive, assuming we're making $20-$100 per hour at the table cutting 20 minutes off a trip from one end of the Boardwalk to another is well worth it. In terms of EV it's even cheaper than driving, because it drops you off at the front door of the store and spares you the time finding a parking spot and moving from the parking lot to the casino floor.

It's also safer than a parking lot or walking through the no-man's lands on the Boardwalk at 4 AM, or God forbid, trying to walk to or from the Marina.
On the other hand, you get great exercise taking those treks up and down the boardwalk and it's a nice way to decompress especially in the summer. I also can justify it because I pick up my offers at each casino and get an accurate scouting report. In the long run, all that walking will save you tons of money as you will get the daily exercise you need and thereby save you from having to get a gym membership or suffering from the effects of lack of exercise.

True, I guess I never looked at it that way. I usually drive to AC so I drive between the casinos, or I take the Total Rewards shuttle.
Ughh the Total Rewards shuttle is useless. They run infrequently with no set schedule so you end up waiting at times forever to get one.

Oh don't go to the 6ix. Unless the only other choice is the Hilton 24-hour joint! 6ix draws a bad crowd too, same a-holes that are at the tables in Bally's.

If you want good service mid-Boardwalk, go to the Roy Rogers- type place at the WWW and get a hamburger or two. The Asian noodle bar as Caesar's isn't bad either, and Nero's upstairs if you want to sit down a while and eat something fancier.

Uptown- I like Breadsticks at Resorts, service is tolerable and the food is near Greek diner-quality.

Downtown- Zeytinia's market in the Quarter at Tropicana. It isn't cheap, but being it is self-service the service will be good, and the food is too.
6ix Bistro has the best selection imo for afterhours meals but the service there is horrible. The clientele may be better at the Hilton, but the service there is just as bad if not worse.

Breadsticks is alright but again, bad service and their prices are ridiculous. (I got mozzarella sticks one time and I think I paid like $12 for the equivalent of 4 sticks) (Flash I know you think their food is the worst but what can I say, I love one particular menu item.)

Funny how this conversation went from trains to pickles!!

You're all making me hungry now!! I want another Borgata buffet! (The only buffet in AC that might just barely make money off me if I were to pay for it)

You really have my sympathies for you poor bastards that have drive all night to play for a few hours then turn around and drive home. The company plane is 15 minutes from the house and available 24/7. Now for justifying the cost.... forget it. You will need another way of subsidizing your bad habits.

I guess 35 years of bust'n your ass does have some benefits. ;)

Having a fellow AP with transportation does have advantages in case you missed the point. It opens up opportunites to far greater area. Then again you probally prefer to ride in traffic for four hours that's great too.

No. Sure I can easily afford one, but with gas prices these days and at 15 mpg, I would go broke on the gas bills!
Sorry to hear you can't afford the gas..... you might want to try a bigger spread for more positive EV.

Awesome, an anonymous guy posting on the internet claiming to have lots of money, and clearly needing affirmation from other anonymous internet posters about how much money he has. Your cool man!
