advantage play on the strip, where to go and where to stay away?

I'll be going to the strip in a few weeks and I would like to know where on the strip can an advantage player ply the craft without being spotted right away.

Any info would be great, thanks.

much more on the skill of the player and the run of the cards than the place itself. More seasoned AP players may have a different view than this still-in-training AP wannabe.

I know last time I was there the strip was over run with the automatic shufflers but some games were okay still. It depends on your betting level and what game too, some of the DD $25 min games were okay. Try BJ21.com for more info. I used to suscribe but found a lot of the information was outdated and nothing beats your own reconnaissance in my opinion but tips always help. Good Luck.

Thanks W. Guy, but I have only two nights on the Strip. Not enough time to do a good recon.

I suppose the Strip sees more than it's share of tourists and at all times of the day, so I should have no problen blending in.

If there are any "wise" guys in Planet Hollywood's pits, I guess I'll find out, outherwise I'll just look for the pits were the suits have their backs to the tables. LOL.

Nothing wrong with automatic shuffle machines,its the continuos shuffle machines that counters should avoid.

It does take away the potential for shuffle tracking, but if you're not going to track anyway, then there's no loss.

Yeah I meant continuous shufflling machines sorry. Shuffle tracking is a pain and most all places use the autos that I have seen in Vegas. Does anyone still do that? Yeah blending in on a single two night trip to Vegas shouldn't be a problem I wouldn't think. I also remember a couple cheaper casinos just off the strip had s17 6d with good pen when I was there last. The hardest thing to find for me was good SD or DD.

I've never heard a good comment about SD/DD on the Strip and can't think of a good game myself.

There are, however, a ton of decent 6D shoe games, and a few very good 4D/6D shoe games.

DD and SD fluctuate too quickly for my taste.

MGM casinos

I've never heard a good comment about SD/DD on the Strip and can't think of a good game myself.

There are, however, a ton of decent 6D shoe games, and a few very good 4D/6D shoe games.

There is no decent SD on the strip, just 6/5 garbage.
Several MGM casinos offer apparently good S-17 DD games. They watch these games carefully, using them as counter traps. They also have reduced pen on many of them. They still can be played and beaten easily enough but understand that you are being evaluated from the moment you sit down and be prepared to exit quickly.

If that's what you're looking for, it's easier to name the casinos on the Strip that DON'T meet the criteria than to name the ones that do. If you can Wong well, just start at Mandalay Bay and walk up to the Wynn (or the other way around), hitting every casino you pass through. I usually skip the stretch between Bill's and Venetian.

I was there 8/10-16 best games I found were 25.00 DD @ T.I. and Mirage with late surrender, 3/2 Single deck at Binions 5.00 with no Double after split.
I found no games at MGM Grand, NY-NY, Luxor, that were not playable.

the DDs at TI/Mirage do not offer surrender and pen is not great. not the best there is on the strip, keep looking.
