Most casinos will only let you split up to 4 hands. If he hit hand #3 and got a 10, that would be the last time he could split - so if he hit again and got another 10, he has to stand on it.
 
Making this play against a dealer's four leaves a window of opportunity for the 7-10 effect (the ten's likely but the seven's a don't know for HiLo). If you believe that if it can happen it will happen then this is a high risk play, bearing in mind you'll have multiple max bets out. I would think the TC would have to be around +8 or higher for this to be advantageous? Again a matter of risk and return. I think there is a big shift in risk going from playing against a five to a four, three or two for this reason.

Although I have splitting tens and doubling A9 against a five in my armoury, I've never yet had the opportunity to play them.

lol I'll ha the chance to double a A9 against a 5 got a 2 and dealer refused to bust out at a tc +6 :(

Invest some of your two grand winnings in a copy of Stanford Wongs' Profesional BJ and Don Schlesinger's Blackjack Attack (3rd Edn is the latest I'm told). They're all in there, although some are of marginal value.

An appropriate play, assuming the count was Hi-Lo +6 or above, and remained +6 or above after each high card was drawn. Interesting to note the lack of purple chips in the rack, and just a few black chips.

A-10 vs 2 - +28
A-10 vs 3 - +26
A-10 vs 4 - +19
A-10 vs 5 - +15
A-10 vs 6 - +15

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but can anyone tell me whether the location from the pictured casino has gotten better or worse than two years ago? (those who are from there should recognize it) PM if you'd prefer.
 
I'm wondering where it is that they will give you time to pull out your camera/phone and get a snapshot of your hand(s). I know at FW they stop all action if you pull out a phone. At the same time, you are already drawing attention by splitting the 10's so why draw more by filming it?
