Why does a casino always want official govt ID? they're just giving you comps and other crap. I'm in the Subway Sandwich club where I get a free sandwich every 10 sandwiches I buy, but I don't remember them asking me for my license to get a free sandwich. So one can only deduce that they use it to track your winnings to see if you are a threat. I've never been asked to sign up for the player's club when I put down $1000 at a craps table, but $1k at a blackjack table sometimes will get the PC's attention. So my advice as to getting a card under an assumed name would be to plop a lot of cash at a blackjack table, when the PC comes over to ask if you want a card, tell them the bit about Subway sandwiches and why do you need my govt ID to just give me free stuff?
Either they will give a card without your ID or they'll stop suspecting you of being a counter. I got a card at LV hilton and Palms this way.
Obviously, this won't work if you're main purpose is to get the card. but as my purpose is to just keep them from tracking me when I cash out, and get a few comps on the side, this is perfect.
P.S., don't use the subway bit, that's mine! think of some other business.
