At my casino in the UK they use an auto shuffler. After around every 5 hands they put the cards back in. This makes it almost impossible to count cards doesnt it?

That's a continuous shuffler (CSM), not an automatic shuffler (ASM).

And yes, it is impossible to beat a CSM with traditional card counting. It may be beatable with other strategies.
